recorded by Opera Rara) at the Opéra de Paris (La Cenerentola - Dandini, La Forza
del Destino -Fra Melitone), at the Teatro Real de Madrid (Don Pasquale,
cond. Riccardo Muti), Teatro Regio in Turin (Traviata, Giorgio Gérmont),
at the Opéra de Monte Carlo (Stiffelio, Stankar, cond.
Maurizio Benini), at the Metropolitan Opera (Falstaff, cond. James Levine, L’Elisir
d’Amore, cond. Maurizio Benini), in Berlin (L’Elisir d’Amore) Nicola
Alaimo adds another important role to his repertoire, singing in the humorous
opera by Gioachino Rossini.

Miller in Liège; Le Nozze di Figaro in Los Angeles; Simon
Boccanegra (Paolo) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona opposite
Placido Domingo in the title role; L'Elisir d'Amore as Dottor Dulcamara
in Naples; Falstaff at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Don Quichotte at
the Lyric Opera in Chicago, Yannis Kokkos directing; Il Barbiere di Siviglia in
Paris; La Traviata in London; Il Trovatore and Guillaume Tell in
Monte Carlo; Guillaume Tell on tour with the Opéra de Monte Carlo and in
Paris. Mr. Alaimo will also star in Zaza concert and recording for Opera
Rara in London and in other important future productions at the Metropolitan
Opera in New York.

Matteo Macchioni
- Conte d’Almaviva
Young and promising artist he made his debut at the Teatro Verdi in Salerno as
Nemorino in L’Elisir d’Amore under the baton of Daniel Oren, after that
he performed Il Conte d’Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the
Festival Internazionale in Stresa. Mr Macchioni is finalist at the
"Pavarotti international voice competition" (2008) and at the Toti Dal Monte
Prize in Treviso (2012). He recorded for the label Sugar.
Matteo
Macchioni returns to Genoa where he performed in Le Nozze di Figaro and
Il Barbiere di Siviglia then he starred in Il Viaggio a Reims at the
Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro.

Riccardo Zanellato - Don Basilio
Riccardo Zanellato’s career has led him to become one of the reference artists
for the most important bass roles . Regularly invited by Riccardo Muti for many
productions at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome (among others, Iphigénie en
Aulide, Moïse et Pharaon, Macbeth and Simon Boccanegra), he
collaborates with such institutions as the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro
Regio in Turin, the Arena in Verona, the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, the Verdi
Festival in Parma, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia, Liceu in
Barcelona, the Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam, the Rossini Opera Festival in
Pesaro, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the Opernhaus in Zurich, the Vlaamse
Opera in Antwerp, the Opéra de Lausanne and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa
Cecilia. Mr. Zanellato recently sang Verdi’s Requiem in Naples under the
baton of Muti, in Vilnius with Violeta Urmana, in Portorico, in Cagliari, in
Moscow at the Rostropovich Festival on tour with the Teatro Comunale of Bologna,
in Barcelona, in Cincinnati and in St. Louis. Mr. Zanellato lately starred in Luisa
Miller in Bilbao, Aida at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Poliuto, La
Bohème at the Opernhaus in Zurich andMacbeth at the Opéra de Lyon.
Mr. Zanellato sang Banco in Macbeth for the opening production of the
2013/2014 season of the Comunale di Bologna (R. Abbado/Wilson). He then
performed Nabucco at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Riccardo Muti
conducting, La Juive and a New Year’s Eve Concert in Vilnius and again Nabucco in
Stuttgart and Leipzig. Mr. Zanellato has just sung Schubert’s Mass in A flat
Major for his debut at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Verdi’s Requiem
at the Ravenna Festival and on tour in Italy and Slovenia again with Muti and as
Ferrando in Il Trovatore at the Salzburg Festival besides Placido Domingo
under Daniele Gatti.
Mr. Zanellato’s future plans include: Nabucco in
Stuttgart; Simon Boccanegra in Dresden; Norma at the Théâtre des
Champs Elysées in Paris; Il Trovatore at the Teatro alla Scala in
Milan; Macbeth at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna; Turandot at the
Teatro San Carlo in Naples.
