Opéra de Paris (La Cenerentola, Dandini) Nicola Alaimo returns to
Amsterdam in the title role of this exciting Rossini’s masterpiece.
Mr. Alaimo’s
future plans include: Falstaff at the Fundaçao Calouste Gulbenkian
in Lisbon and in Marseille; Stiffelioo (Stankar) at the Opera de Monte
Carlo; Il Trovatore at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam; Don Pasquale
at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome; Luisa Miller in Liège; La Traviata
at the Teatro Regio in Turin; Simon Boccanegra (Paolo) at the Gran Teatre
del Liceu in Barcelona beside Placido Domingo in the title role; L'Elisir
d'Amore (Dottor Dulcamara) in Berlin and Munich; Guillaume Tell at
the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro and in Brussels; Don Quichotte in
Chicago. He will also star in important future productions at the Metropolitan
Opera in New York.

Paolo Carignani - conductor
With a vast repertory spans from Donizetti to Puccini, Rossini to Strauss and
Verdi, Paolo Carignani has collaborated with the world's most prestigious
theatres, such as the Wiener Staatsoper, Berliner Staatsoper and Deutsche Oper
Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper, Royal Opera House-Covent Garden, Opéra National
in Paris, Zurich Opernhaus, Concertgebouw and Royal Opera House in Amsterdam,
Metropolitan Opera in New York, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, and opera
houses in Brussels, Antwerp and Oslo as well as Italy's major opera houses.
Paolo Carignani future plans include: Traviata and Nabucco at the
Wiener Staatsoper; Nabucco at the New National Theater in Tokio; Il
Trovatore, Falstaff, Otello at the Bayerische Staatsoper in
Munich; Otello in Zurich; Rigoletto in Strasbourg; concerts in
Dallas, in Tokio at the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra and in
Amsterdam with the Nederlandse Philarmonisch Orkest. In the next seasons he will
also conduct: Tosca, Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci, Andrea
Chénier and La Fanciulla del West at the Wiener Staatsoper; Tosca
at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona; Le Villi with the
Orchestre National de France in Paris; L’Amico Fritz in Strasbourg; La
Traviata, Nabucco, Il Trovatore, Norma at the Bayerische
Staatsoper in Munich; Carmen in Toronto; a series of symphonic concerts
with the Orchestra Regionale Toscana in Florence. Paolo Carignani will be
engaged in important productions at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
