A reference performer of Rossini roles, Nicola Alaimo made his debut at the Rossini
Opera Festival in 2010 singing La Cenerentola, returning then for Il barbiere
di Siviglia (2011), Matilde di Shabran(2012), Guillaume Tell
(2013), La Gazzetta and a solo recital (2015).
Nicola Alaimo will be engaged in the next months in I Puritani in
Madrid with Evelino Pidò in the production signed by Emilio Sagi; La Traviata
at the Covent Garden in London with Yves Abel; Giordano’s La Cena delle beffe
at La Scala under Carlo Rizzi; Simon Boccanegra (title role) in Antwerp and
Luxemburg; Don Quichotte (Sancho Panza) at the Lyric Opera in Chicago; Il
Trovatore and I Masnadieri in Monte Carlo; Il Turco in Italia
and a Gala concert at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro; Mahler’s Lieder eines
Fahrenden Gesellen at the Auditorium Manzoni in Bologna with Michele Mariotti;
Don Pasquale in Vienna; L’Italiana in Algeri and other important future
productions at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
