Nicola Alaimo - Sir John Falstaff
Following
recent critically-acclaimed performances at the Salzburg Festival (Dandini, La
Cenerentola), at the Rossini Opera Festival, Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie
Brussels, at the Concertgebow in Amsterdam (Guillaume Tell - title role),
at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan (Don Pasquale - title role), at the
Teatro dell’Opera in Rome (Attila, Ezio, cond. Riccardo Muti and Don
Pasquale, cond. Bruno Campanella), in London (Belisario - title role,
recorded by Opera Rara) at the Opéra de Paris (La Cenerentola - Dandini, La Forza
del Destino -Fra Melitone), at the Teatro Real de Madrid (Don Pasquale,
cond. Riccardo Muti), at the Teatro Regio in Turin (Traviata, Giorgio
Gérmont), at the Opéra de Monte Carlo (Stiffelio, Stankar, cond. Maurizio
Benini), at the Metropolitan Opera (Falstaff, cond. James Levine, L’Elisir
d’Amore, cond. Maurizio Benini), in Berlin (L’Elisir d’Amore) Nicola
Alaimo returns to last Verdi’s masterpiece.

Nozze di Figaro in Los Angeles; Simon Boccanegra (Paolo) at the Gran
Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona opposite Placido Domingo in the title role; Falstaff at
the Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Don Quichotte at the Lyric Opera in
Chicago, Yannis Kokkos directing; Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Paris; La
Traviata in London; Il Trovatore and Guillaume Tell in Monte
Carlo; Guillaume Tell on tour in Paris with the Opéra de Monte Carlo;
La Gazzetta at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro; he will also star in Zaza concert
and recording for Opera Rara in London and in other important future productions
at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
Mr. Alaimo will star as Sir John Falstaff at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and
in Marseille.

Giorgio Trucco - Dr Cajus
After his debut at the Teatro alla Scala in the new production of Nina, ossia
la pazza per amore, Riccardo Muti conducting, Giorgio Trucco was invited in
important musical institutions such as: Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Rossini
Opera Festival in Pesaro, and Rossini Festival in bad Wildbad, San Carlo in
Naples, Opéra de Montpellier, Toulon and Nice. Giorgio Trucco
collaborated with Gerd Albrecht, Ivor Bolton, Giuliano Carella, Mark Elder,
Marco Guidarini, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Roberto Rizzi Brignoli. Latest
engagements include: La Forza del Destino in Pisa; Falstaff in
Ravenna and on tour in Italy, Cristina Mazzavillani Muti directing; Aida (Radames)
at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence; Maometto II at
the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome; Macbeth in Toulon; Tosca at the
Teatro Nazionale in Rome.
In the next month Mr. Trucco will be engaged in revivals of
Falstaff in
Savona, Reggio Emilia and Ferrara.
