Sara Mingardo - Disinganno
One of the rare voices of genuine contralto on the music scene today, Sara
Mingardo regularly collaborates with conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Ivor
Bolton, Riccardo Chailly, Myung-Whun Chung, Colin Davis, John Eliot Gardiner,
Riccardo Muti, Trevor Pinnock, Christophe Rousset, Jordi Savall, Jeffrey Tate
and Rinaldo Alessandrini. Her repertoire includes works by Gluck, Monteverdi,
Handel, Vivaldi, Rossini, Verdi, Cavalli, Mozart, Donizetti, Schumann and
Berlioz. Particularly active in concert, she has a vast repertoire ranging from
Pergolesi to Respighi, through Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Dvorak and Mahler. She
was awarded the prestigious Premio Abbiati in 2009.

Accentus under Laurence Equilbey on tour in France; Kindertotenlieder
with the Malaysian Symphony Orchestra in Kuala Lumpur; Medea (Neris) at
the Grand Théâtre de Genève; concerts in Frankfurt, Liege and Ghent.

After his debut in Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Gliwice, Poland, he devoted
himself mainly to the repertoire from 18th century. Amongst his recent
engagements: Decio in Vivaldi’s L’Ottone in Villa at the Innsbrucker
Festwochen der Alten Musik with Il Giardino Armonico and Giovanni Antonini;
Entführung aus dem Serail (Pedrillo) at the Opera Company in
Philadelphia under Rovaris; L’incoronazione di Poppea (Arnalta) at the
Maggio Musicale Fiorentino with Curtis; Il Ritorno di Ulisse in patria at
the Teatro alla Scala under the baton of Alessandrini; Anfossi’s La Finta
Giardiniera (Contino) with L’arte del mondo and Ehrhardt in concert and
recorded by Sony/DHM; Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor with the Oslo
Philharmonic Orchestra, Manfred Honeck conducting. He recorded Pergolesi's
Dixit Dominus with Claudio Abbado for Deutsche Grammophon.
His future
plans include: Myslivecek’s L'Olimpiade at the National Theatre in
Prague with Vaclav Luks and Collegium 1704 and then on tour in Dijon and
Luxembourg; Cantatas by Bach in Wroclaw (Wratislavia Cantans) with Giovanni
Antonini and in Austria with Manfred Huss; Kraus' Funeral Cantata and
Schubert's Mass in A-flat in Leverkusen and at the Berliner Philarmonie
(recorded for Sony) with L'arte del mondo and Werner Ehrhardt; Haydn's La
vera costanza with Andreas Spering at the Haydn Festival Augustusburg
(recorded by WDR); Die Zauberflöte at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in
Liège; Dido and Aeneas (Aeneas) in Regensburg with La Risonanza and
Bonizzoni; Haydn’s Philemon und Baucis in Montecarlo with Europa Galante
and Fabio Biondi.
