Winner of Santa Chiara Contest in Naples, she debuted at the
Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro and at the Festival Dei Due Mondi in Spoleto,
after that she was invited in Valencia where at the Palau de Les Arts Reina
Sofia is
starred in
Le nozze di Figaro
and Ariadne
auf Naxos,
Andrew
Davis conducting. She sang also Ninetta in
I Vespri Siciliani
at the Festival Verdi (2010) in Parma, where she also starred as Curra in
La Forza del
Destino
under the baton of Gianluigi Gelmetti. On the concert side she performed
Die Schöpfung
by Haydn at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, conducted by Lothar Zagrosek;
Der
Kronungsmesse
with Omer Meir Wellber again in Valencia; Brahms’
Alto Raphsody
and the Debussy’s
Demoiselle élue
in Cagliari;
La Petite Messe
Solennelle in Rome. Last summer she took part at the Young Project
Artists at the Salzburg Festival, where she sang in Der Zauberfloete,
Carmen
and Giulio
Cesare
and where she gained great success singing the closing recital of the Project.

Paata Burchuladze - Sparafucile
The acclaimed debut at ROH Covent Garden in Aida conducted by Zubin
Mehta, alongside Katia Ricciarelli and Luciano Pavarotti, marks the beginning of
a brilliant international career that saw him as a guest of top musical
institutions such as: the Teatro alla Scala (Nabucco, Luisa Miller, Simon
Boccanegra, Macbeth ), the Wiener Staatsoper (Luisa Miller, Boris
Godunov, Khovanshcina), the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich (Boris
Godunov, Don Carlos, Macbeth, Aida), Opera Bastille in Paris (Faust,
Nabucco), the San Francisco Opera (Prince Igor, Aida), the
Metropolitan Opera (Boris Godunov, Don Giovanni, Aida, Khovanshcina). He
recorded for Decca, Deutsche Grammophon, EMI and Philips. Plans include:
Don Carlo at the Teatro Regio in Turin and at the Teatro del Maggio
Musicale Fiorentino in Florence.

Sergio Vitale - Marullo
Sergio Vitale is a recipient of various awards including first prize at the
International Contest “Comunità Europea“ at the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale in
Spoleto, and at the Lyric Contest “Premio Mattia Battistini“ in Rieti. After
that he made his debut as Giorgio Gérmont in La Traviata at the Deutsche
Oper Berlin and he perform as Don Giovanni (title role), Daniel Oren conducting,
in Salerno, as Conte di Luna in Il Trovatore in Zaragoza, as Gianni
Schicchi (title role) at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, as Marcello
in La Bohème in Lucca and then on tour in Ravenna, Pisa and Livorno, as
Malatesta in Don Pasquale in Savona, Figaro in Il
Barbiere di Siviglia in Cesena, as Schaunard in La Bohème at
the Deutsche Oper Berlin, as Sharpless in Madama Butterfly in
Spoleto. Plans include Ford in Falstaff in Fano.

Zyan Atfeh - Conte di Monterone*
Born in Damascus, he was trained under the guidance of Mirella Freni and Nicolai
Ghiaurov who defined him one of the best CUBEC students. Emerging bass, he
performed such roles as: Schmidt in Andrea Chénier at the Teatro Comunale
in Bologna, Il Commendatore in Don Giovanni for the AS.LI.CO circuit in
Italy; the King in Aida at the Festival of Narni, Verdi’s Requiem
at the Opera in Rome, Zuniga in Carmen and Geronte di Ravoir in Manon
Lescaut at the Teatro Comunale in Modena and in Piacenza; La Voce in
Idomeneo at the Stresa Festival under the baton of Gianandrea Noseda, Leo
ne
in Attila at the Verdi Festival in Parma.
More recently he
performed La Forza del Destino at the Teatro Regio in Parma under the
baton of Gianluigi Gelmetti; Beethoven's Symphony n.9 in Lecce;
Rigoletto (Conte di Monterone) at the Teatro Regio in Turin; La Traviata
and Nabucco at the Arena di Verona; La Traviata at the Opéra Royal
de Wallonie in Liège; Roméo et Juliette in Piacenza, Bolzano and Modena;
Falstaff at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona.
