Much in demand for the 17th and 18th serio and buffo repertoire, the Polish tenor Krystian Adam regularly works with many of the most important conductors of the ‘historically informed practice’, such as John Eliot Gardiner, Giovanni Antonini, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Teodor Currentzis, Stefano Montanari, Andreas Spering, Werner Ehrhardt, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Vaclav Luks, Fabio Biondi, Fabio Bonizzoni, among others. Under the baton of Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Krystian Adam just starred in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo and Vespers on US tour with the Monteverdi Choir and the English Baroque Soloists and starred in Monteverdi’s Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda at the Wigmore Hall in London and in Versailles; amongst his other recent engagements it is worth mentioning: Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor in Toulouse and Bordeaux, and Gluck’s Le Cinesi in Bad Lauchstädt under Werner Ehrhardt . Plans include: Le nozze di Figaro under Ivor Bolton and Adriana Lecouvreur at the Covent Garden in London; Die Zauberflöte at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège under Paolo Arrivabeni; Haydn’s La Canterina with Capella Augustina and Andreas Spering for the Opening concert of the Brühler Schlosskonzerte; Bach’s Cantata BWV 201 at the Leipzig Bachfest under Vaclav Luks; Handel’s Messiah at the Handel Festival in Halle under Fabio Bonizzoni; revival of Monteverdi’s Orfeo with John Eliot Gardiner and Monteverdi Choir in Versailles.

Francesca Aspromonte - Music/Messenger

Born in 1991, Francesca Aspromonte is rapidly establishing herself as one of the most interesting young sopranos for the baroque and classical repertoire. After her studies in piano and harpsichord, she entered the singing class of Maria Pia Piscitelli. She attended several master classes with Barbara Bonney, Luciana Serra, Victor Torrez, Gloria Banditelli and she has just completed her studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg under the guidance of Boris Bakow. Since 2012 she is a student of Renata Scotto’s Opera Studio at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Recently she sang the modern premiere of Cavalli’s L’Eritrea in Venice conducted by Stefano Montanari and directed by Olivier Lexa (Teatro La Fenice production); “Amore Siciliano” at the Musikfest Bremen and at the Festival d’Ambronay with Cappella Mediterranea and Leonardo García Alarcón; Mozart’s La Betulia Liberata (Amital) in Merano and Brixen with Daniel Bayer and the Streicherakademie Bozen; concerts at the Centro di Musica Antica Pietà de’ Turchini with Stefano Demicheli; Scarlatti’s La Giuditta (title role) at the Accademia Filarmonica Romana and Pasquini’s La Gloria di Primavera at the Konzerthaus in Vienna, both with Concerto Romano and Alessandro Quarta; L’isola disabitata by David Perez in Lisbon with Divino Sospiro; Caldara’s Dafne (role title) in Venice under Stefano Montanari. She participated in the first and second edition of the Accademia Monteverdiana directed by Sir John Eliot Gardiner, who conducted her also in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo (Musica, Speranza and Messaggiera) and Vespro della Beata Vergine with the Monteverdi Choir on tour in the United States (New York-Carnegie Hall, San Francisco, Washington, Costa Mesa, Chapel Hill).

Plans  include:   a new production of Rossi’s L’Orfeo (Euridice) with Raphaël Pichon at the Opéra National de Lorraine in Nancy and on tour in France; “Amore Siciliano” with Cappella Mediterranea and Leonardo García Alarcón in Brugge; revivals of Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo  with the Monteverdi Choir and John Eliot Gardiner in Versailles; Monteverdi’s Vespro della Beata Vergine with Collegium 1704 in Dresden and Prague; Haydn’s La Canterina with Capella Augustina and Andreas Spering for the Opening concert of the Brühler Schlosskonzerte; concerts and recording of a Haydn program with Il Giardino Armonico and Giovanni Antonini; Cavalli’s Oristeo at the Théâtre National de la Criée in Marseille; concerts with the Geneva Camerata and David Greilsammer in Venice and Geneva; Scarlatti’s Santa Editta with Mare Nostrum (concert and recording for Outhere).

A noble and round voice, Gianluca Buratto is rapidly establishing himself as one of his most versatile basses of his generation. His recent engagements include: Bach’s B minor Mass with Savall in Madrid and Barcelona, both Mozart and Jommelli’s Betulia liberata with Muti in Salzburg and Ravenna and in Wroclaw under Rovaris; Mercadante’s Virginia and La Bohème at the Wexford Opera Festival; Ambrosini’s Il Killer di Parole (world première), La Bohème and Rigoletto in Venice; Mozart’s Mass in C minor KV 427 at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome with Nagano and in Cagliari; Bach’s Johannes-Passion with Lopez-Banzo in Spain and Germany; Macbeth with Muti at the Salzburg Festival, Rome and Chicago; Solbiati’s La Leggenda (world première) in Turin with Noseda; Le Nozze di Figaro (Bartolo) in Barcelona with Rousset; L’Incoronazione di Poppea(Seneca) at the Innsbruck Festival; La Bohème (with Chailly) and I Due Foscari in Valencia;Macbeth at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Rota’s Mysterium at the Vatican City, in Naples, Bari and in Milan (concert and recording) with La Verdi Orchestra; Rigoletto in Genoa under Luisi and in Bogota; Handel’s Rinaldo and Admeto at the Theater an der Wien; Rota’s Il cappello di paglia di Firenze at the Maggio Musicale in Florence; Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo with Rousset and Les Talens Lyriques in Nancy and Paris; La Bohème in Rome and in Amsterdam; I Puritani in Florence; Rigoletto (Sparafucile) at the Sferisterio Opera Festival in Macerata; Le Duc d’Albe in London for Opera Rara. He had just starred in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo and Vespers on US tour with the Monteverdi Choir and the English Baroque Soloists, under the baton of Sir John Eliot Gardiner.

Plans include  : revivals of Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo with the Monteverdi Choir and John Eliot Gardiner in Versailles; Die Zauberflöte in Liège under Paolo Arrivabeni; La Bohème in Palermo; Guglielmo Ratcliff at the Wexford Festival Opera; Turandot in Montpellier; I Due Foscari in Amsterdam; Faccio's Hamlet at the Bregenzer Festspiele; Semiramide in London for Opera Rara; Verdi’s Requiem in Manchester; Die Schöpfung at the Teatro Regio in Turin; Turandot in Montpellier; Roméo et Juliette in Beirut . In 2016 he will have his first solo recital at the Wigmore Hall in London.
