Silvia Paoli
Silvia Paoli is an Italian director and actress born in Florence.
After attending modern literature at the University she graduated at
the Academy of dramatic art “Paolo Grassi” in Milan. She
started collaborating as an actress with Peter Stein and with directors
as Paolo Rossi, Damiano Michieletto, M. Schmidt, S.Barbarino, F.
Brandi, A. Milenin, I. Konyaev in various productions.
In 2013 Silvia Paoli was awarded with the “Sorelle
Gramatica” prize she also received two nomination as best
comic actress at the Ubu award.
Silvia Paoli started working in the opera field as assistant director
of Damiano Michieletto and made her debut as opera director with La Cenerentola in Tenerife, after that she directed Le Nozze di Figaro, I Capuleti e Montecchi both rivive in Bologna,Turandot for AsLiCo, Offenbach’s Vent du Soir in Florence, The Moth Princess in Oman, Otello in Como, Enrico di Borgogna in Bergamo, L'Empio Punito in Innsbruck, Lucrezia Borgia in Oviedo and Tenerife.
