Born in Naples, Raffaele Abete graduated at the Domenico Cimarosa conservatoire in Avellino, making his debut in Barbiere di Siviglia
in Pescara. Important egagement followed in Bergamo, Verona
(Teatro Filarmonico and Arena), New York (City Opera), Parma (Verdi
Festival), Bologna (Teatro Comunale), Torre del Lago (Festival Puccini)
and
in America, at the Opera Carolina and at the Toledo Opera and at the
Grand Rapids.
He recently starred in Rigoletto in Taormina and in Lucia di Lammermoor in Chieti. Winner of the Etta Limiti and Ottavio Ziino Interational Singing Contests, Mr. Abete will star in Traviata at the Arena in Verona in summer 2019.
