Mary-Ellen Nesi - Cherubino
Acclaimed interpreter of baroque operas by Handel, Monteverdi and Vivaldi. Her repertoire also includes the roles of Orpheus, Adalgisa, Rosina, Dorabella, Cherubino, Haensel, Carmen and Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier. She regularly collaborates with the Greek National Opera and performes in major musical institutions of Europe and America such as the Carnegie Hall, the Théâtre de Champs-Elysées, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the Theater an der Wien, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville. She has just released her first solo album for DHM: a collection of Salve Regina by various Neapolitan composers of the 18th century with Alan Curtis and Il Complesso Barocco.
Future plans include: a solo concert tour with music for Faustina Bordoni with Concerto de’ Cavalieri and Marcello Di Lisa (Naples, L’Aquila and Ancona); Farnace in Montecarlo with I Barocchisti and Diego Fasolis; Christmas concerts with the Konzerthausorchester in Berlin.
Krystian Adam – Don Basilio
After his debut in Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Gliwice, Poland, he performed the main roles of La Clemenza di Tito and Il Matrimonio segreto with the Capella Cracoviensis. In 2007 he made his debut at La Scala in the world première of Teneke by Fabio Vacchi, conducted by Roberto Abbado. His repertoire focuses on the music from 18th century.
Amongst his recent engagements: Decio in Vivaldi’s L’Ottone in Villa at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik under Antonini and Il Giardino Armonico; Silango in Gluck’s Le Cinesi in Potsdam, Winterthur and Leverkusen with L’arte del Mondo and Ehrhardt; Entführung aus dem Serail (Pedrillo) at the Opera Company in Philadelphia under Rovaris; Scarlatti’s La Giuditta (Oloferne) in Rotterdam and The Hague; L’incoronazione di Poppea (Arnalta) at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino with Curtis and Pizzi directing; Il Ritorno di Ulisse in patria (Pisandro) at the Teatro alla Scala under the baton of Alessandrini and Wilson directing; Anfossi’s La Finta Giardiniera (Contino) with L’arte del mondo and Ehrhardt in concert and recorded by Sony/DHM; Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Manfred Honeck conducting. He recorded Pergolesi's Dixit Dominus with Claudio Abbado for Deutsche Grammophon.
Future plans include: a revival of Le Cinesi in Beijing; Scarlatti’s Caino amd Bach Cantatas with La Risonanza and Bonizzoni on a European tour; Kraus’ Funeral Cantata and Schubert’s Mass in A-Flat Major with L’arte del mondo and Ehrhardt in Leverkusen (recorded by Sony) and at the Berliner Philharmonie.
