Born in Turin to a Sicilian family, Stefano La Colla began his musical studies
at the “Pietro Mascagni” Conservatory in Livorno and then with Luciana Serra and Carlo Meliciani.
He regularly performs at prestigious opera houses worldwide, including Bayerische Staatsoper,
Deutsche Oper Berlin, Wiener Staatsoper, La Monnaie, Hamburg Opera,
Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Opernhaus Zürich,
Lyric Opera of Chicago, Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Opera House,
Teatro alla Scala, Arena di Verona, Teatro La Fenice, and others.
Well known for his portrayals of Verdi and Puccini roles,
including Manrico, Alfredo, Radamès, Cavaradossi, Pinkerton, and Calaf,
he will appear in Carmen in Wiesbaden, Aida in Zagreb, and Tosca in Bruxelles.
