Andrea Giovannini
Andrea Giovannini began his career as an actor before transitioning to
opera. He debuted in musicals such as Jesus Christ Superstar and later in
opera, performing Mozart roles like Don Ottavio and Ferrando. He
specialized in Rossini, notably as Count Almaviva and Idreno, and expanded
into the lyric tenor repertoire with roles such as Rodolfo (La Bohème),
Alfredo (La Traviata), and Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor). He
has appeared at major venues including Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro
Regio di Parma, the Puccini Festival, Salzburg Festival, and Opéra
National de Paris. A member of the Wiener Staatsoper ensemble, he has sung
in productions including Tosca, Falstaff, Adriana
Lecouvreur, and Les Dialogues des Carmélites.
