Stefano Montanari - conductor and violinist
After his successes in Così Fan Tutte at the Bolshoi Theatre in
Moscow, in Handel’s Rinaldo on tour with Il Pomo d’oro and his debut with
the Badische Staatskapelle at the International Handel Festival in Karlsruhe, Stefano
Montanari recently returned to Italy conducting I Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra in
Milan.
Future plans include: Agrippina in Antwerp; Il Barbiere
di Siviglia, L’Elisir d’Amore and series of symphonic concerts
at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice; Rossini’s Stabat Mater with
the Warsaw Philharmonic in Warsaw; concerts in Milan with the Orchestra I Pomeriggi
Musicali, in Montreal with the Arion Baroque Orchestra, at the Teatro Real in Madrid.
He will return to the Opéra de Lyon involved in several new projects, among which Die
Entführung aus dem Serail, Alceste, Don Giovanni (on
tour in Oman). His new collaboration with Il Pomo d’oro will lead him to conduct
many concert and opera projects all around Europe with this young and excellent
baroque orchestra.
