Winning the Operalia
Competition (1996) he begun a distinguished career that saw him perform such
operas as Don Carlo, Rigoletto, La Bohème, Turandot, Il Barbiere di Siviglia,
Le Nozze di Figaro, I Puritani, Don Giovanni, I Masnadieri.
Riccardo Muti invited him for the productions of
Iphigénie en Aulide, Moïse et Pharaon and Macbeth at the Opera
in Rome and he regularly collaborates with such institutions as the Teatro Regio in
Turin, the Arena in Verona, the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, the Verdi Festival in
Parma, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia, the Liceu in Barcelona,
the Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam, the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, the
Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Settimane Musicali in Stresa, the Opernhaus in
Zurich, the Vlammse Opera in Antwerp and the Opéra de Lausanne.
He has just sung Verdi’s Requiem in Naples again under the baton of
Riccardo Muti.
Future plans:
Nabucco
in Antwerp; Aida at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Poliuto and
La Bohème at the Opernhaus Zurich; Verdi's Requiem with Violeta
Urmana in Vilnius.
