Mikolaj Zalasinski, born and raised in Poland, became a member of the National Opera in Warsaw, where he made his debut in the title roles of Nabucco and Don Giovanni, followed by collaborations with the Vienna Chamber Opera and the Lincoln Opera (US).

His repertory includes major dramatic baritone roles, that is: the title roles in Don Giovanni, Nabucco, Rigoletto, Macbeth, Simon Boccanegra, Eugene Onegin and Szymanowski's King Roger; Conte di Luna (Il Trovatore); Renato (Un Ballo in Maschera); Amonasro (Aida); Germont (La Traviata); Don Carlos di Vargas (La Forza del Destino); Scarpia (Tosca); Frank (Edgar); Marcello (La Bohème); Michele (Il Tabarro); Figaro (Il Barbiere di Siviglia); Valentin (Faust); Graf Danilo (The Merry Widow); Barnaba (La Gioconda); Carlo Gerard (Andrea Chénier); Escamillo (Carmen); Tonio (I Pagliacci); Alfio (Cavalleria Rusticana); Tomski (The Queen of Spades); Klingsor (Parsifal); Wolfram (Tannhäuser); and Jochanaan (Salome).

Highlights of his career include: Andrea Chénier at the Hessisches Staadstheater in Wiesbaden and at the Grand Theatre in Warsaw; Salome in Japan and at the Lithuanian National Opera; Carmen at the Teatro Regio in Turin; Il Trovatore at the Teatro Sao Carlos in Lisbon; Rigoletto in Warsaw and Turin; Un Ballo in Maschera and Tosca at the National Opera in Sofia; La Traviata at the Abilene Opera (US); Szymanowski's King Roger at the Vratislavia Cantans Festival; La Forza del Destino conducted by Asher Fisch at the New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv; Don Giovanni at the Opera Baltycka in Gdansk; and Nabucco at the Antiken Festspile Festival in Trier, to name only a few.

His concert repertory includes: Orff's Carmina Burana; Fauré's Requiem; Szymanowski's Stabat Mater; Schubert's Mass in G; and Stravinsky's Requiem Canticles.
