theaters in the world under conductors such as Antonio Pappano, Bruno Campanella,
Daniele Gatti, Riccardo Muti, Alberto Zedda just to name a few. Recent engagements
include: a solo recital for Note al Museo series at the Duomo Museum in Florence;
Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Rosina) in Naples; Rota’s Mysterium
in Rome and Naples; La Donna del Lago (Malcom Groeme) in Santa Fe; La Cenerentola
(title role) in Pesaro, Paris, Sevilla and Liège; Rossini’s Zelmira (Emma)
in Lyon, Evelino Pidò conducting; Nabucco (Fenena) in London and in Barcelona
new production by Daniele Abbado; Maria Stuarda (Elisabetta) in Barcelona;
Rossini’s Ermione (Andromaca) in La Coruña; Petite Messe Solennelle
in Lucerne; Brahms’s Alto Rhapsody, Orfeo ed Euridice (Orfeo) and
Mahler’s 3rd Symphony in Palermo.
On the concert side Mrs. Pizzolato lately performed: Verdi’s Requiem with
Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai and at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig; Mozart’s
Requiem at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome; solo recital at the Kioi
Hall in Tokyo; opening Gala concert at the Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad; Rossini’s
Stabat Mater in Santander, Alberto Zedda conducting and in Zurich, Donald
Runnicles conducting. Marianna Pizzolato recorded for prestigious labels such as:
Deutsche Grammophon, EMI, Virgin Classics, Dynamic, Naxos, Naïve/Opus 111.
Plans include: L’Italiana in Algeri (Isabella) in Toulouse
and at the Teatro dell’Opera in Florence and on tour in Oman under the baton of
Bruno Campanella; Tancredi (title role) in Santiago de Chile and Bremen;
Petite Messe Solennelle in Moscow; Rossini’s Stabat Mater in Edimburgh
under the baton of Antonio Pappano; Verdi’s Requiem in Bolzano with the Haydn
Orchestra; Beethoven’s 9th Symphony in St. Denis. Mrs. Pizzolato
will make her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York as Hedwige in Guillaume
Tell.
