Marianna Pizzolato - Orphée
Marianna Pizzolato made her debut at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro with Il Viaggio a Reims, becoming a reference performer for the main Rossini roles, as well as for Baroque and eighteenth century’s repertoire; she is now considered one of the foremost voices of our time. Mrs. Pizzolato sang in the most prestigious theaters in the world under conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Antonio Pappano, Alberto Zedda, Bruno Campanella and Daniele Gatti, just to name a few. Recent engagements include her debut with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai singing Verdi’s Requiem, for the opening concert of the season; Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Naples; Rota’s Mysterium in Rome and Naples; La Donna del Lago in Santa Fe; La Cenerentola in Sevilla; Petite Messe Solennelle in Lucerne; Brahms’s Alto Rhapsody at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo; Verdi’s Requiem at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig; Maria Stuarda at the Gran Liceu in Barcelona. Marianna Pizzolato recorded for prestigious labels such as: Deutsche Grammophon, EMI, Virgin Classics, Dynamic, Naxos, Naïve/Opus 111.
Plans include: L’Italiana in Algeri in Toulouse; Tancredi in Santiago de Chile; Mozart’s Requiem at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome; Rossini’s Stabat Mater in Santander; Zelmira in Lyon and in Paris (TCE) . After her successful in Japan last March for a recital, she will back to Tokyo performing a solo concert in 2015, while in 2016 she will make her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Mrs. Pizzolato will return to Barcelona singing Nabucco and to Palermo for the Mahler’s Symphony n.3
Mariangela Sicilia - Eurydice
Operalia Prize winner Mariangela Sicilia is one of the most exciting young sopranos to have come out of Italy in the last few years; she has been seen, in the past seasons, in Massenet's Cléopâtre (Charmionand) at the Salzburg Festival under the baton of Vladimir Fedoseyev; Il Viaggio a Reims, La Donna del Lago (Zedda conducting) and L'Italiana in Algeri at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro; Cilea's L'Arlesiana at the Wexford Festival Opera and in Jesi; Rigoletto (Gilda) in Bari (c. Rizzari; d. Kief). Mariangela Sicilia has recently performed L’Elisir d'Amore in Madrid (c.Piollet; d. Michieletto) and in Monte Carlo; La Pietra del Paragone (TCE) and Musetta in La Bohème (Opéra) in Paris; Petite Messe Solennelle in Saint-Etienne under Zedda in Nancy; Guillaume Tell at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, (c.Mariotti; d. Vick).
Future plans include L’Elisir d'Amore in Brussels; La Scala di Seta and Mozart’s Requiem in Liège, Mariotti conducting and Michieletto directing; Turandot (Liù) in Montpellier; La Bohème in Palermo. Ms Sicilia will return to the Opéra de Paris singing in Adriana Lecouvreur under the baton of Daniel Oren and directed by David Mc Vicar and at the Concertgebouw singing the Petite Messe Solennelle.
