A graduate at Conservatorio “S. Cecilia in Roma”, Luca has also specialized with Alessandro Quarta and Rinaldo Alessandrini in Urbino. In 2007, he was among the winners of the “Monteverdi Competition” for the Centenary of Orfeo in Mantua, which led him to perform the opera in Praga's National Theatre. He sang for several years in Philippe Herreweghe's Collegium Vocale Gent and he took part in Sigiswald Kuijken's challenging rendition of Bach's B-minor Mass. He co-founded the AbChordis ensemble, with which he sang in many prestigious festivals including Ambronay Festival, Valletta International Baroque Festival, Les Riches Heures de Valère, Pavia Barocca, Urbino Musica Antica, Mars en Baroque, AnimaMea. Past engagements include: Monostato in the Italian version of Die Zauberflote at Teatro Costanzi in Rom;  Perez's Mattutino de morti and Mozart's Vesperae solennes de confessore with Giulio Prandi's Ghislieri Choir&Consort.

A member of Alessandro Quarta's Concerto Romano ensemble, he was Jonas in Carissimi's eponymous oratorio (Wiener Konzerthaus, Mozart-Saal); Giuseppe d'Arimatea in Pasquini's La sete di Christo;  Oloferne in Scarlatti's Giuditta at the Teatro Olimpico in Rome; Inverno in La Gloria di Primavera, again at the Wiener Konzerthaus; Consigliero in Stradella's San Giovanni Battista at the Teatro Argentina in Rome. He has worked with Rinaldo Alessandrini and his Concerto Italiano as Anfinomo in Monteverdi's Il ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria (Teatro Regio, Turin) and in the tour of the Vespro di San Marco and Vespro della Beata Vergine in Spain. With Claudio Cavina's Venexiana ensemble he toured in Japan, performing Madrigals by Monteverdi and Gesualdo. With Antonio Florio and his Cappella Neapolitana he performed and recorded for Glossa La Passione secondo Giovanni by Gaetano Veneziano and  Giovanni in Handel's Resurrezione, performed and recorded by the Swiss Radio RSI with Diego Fasolis and I Barocchisti. In December 2016, he took part in Diego Carmini's contemporary opera Un'infinita primavera attendo, with the Filarmonica Romana.

He also took part as Pastore and Spirito in Monteverdi's Orfeo at Teatro Regio, Turin under Florio; King Ahasuerus in Handel's Esther at the Teatro Comunale, Ferrara; as Nettuno in La divisione del mondo by Legrenzi at the Theater Kiel, both under Alessandro Quarta.

Most recent engagements include: Anfinomo in Monteverdi's Il Ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria and Corimbo in Melani's L'Empio Punito for the Reate Festival; Arasse in Vinci's Siroe, Re di Persia at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples; Damon in Handel's Acis&Galatea at the Teatro Comunale in Ferrara; Lucano in Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea in Kiel; Emilio in Mozart's Il Sogno di Scipione in Venice under Sardaelli.

He took part in numerous Operas by Stradella with Andrea De Carlo and Mare Nostrum Ensemble: as Teofilo in Stradella's San Giovanni Crisostomo; Santa Pelagia;  Celindo in La Doriclea; Rosalbo in Amare&fingere and as Simona in Il Trespolo tutore. He sang as Consigliero in Stradella's San Giovanni Battista at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam directed by Vaclav Luks with Collegium 1704.

Recently he performed in: Zaide at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome; L'Orfeo in Cremona, Ravenna and Ferrara under Dantone; Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda in Cremona and Reggio Emilia under Corti; Enea in Caonia in Herne under Montanari; Arnalta Café a “stand-up comedy” of nursemaids from different operas by 17th-century composers such as Monteverdi, Cavalli, Melani, Cesti and Steffa, with Alessandro Quarta and Concerto Romano in Castiglioncello del Trinoro (Monteverdi Concert Season), Urbino, Rome, Cremona; Alessandro Scarlatti's Il Giardino di Rose/ La Santissima Vergine del Rosario at the Festival de l'Abbaye in St. Michel en Tierache and in Malta; a series of baroque concerts at the Festival in Cremona and Urbino and Monteverdi's Madrigali with Rinaldo Alessandrini in Rome; L'incoronazione di Poppea in Cremona, Como, Pavia, Pisa, Ravenna.

Plans include: L'Orfeo (secondo pastore) at the Opernhaus in Zurich; Monteverdi's Vespro della beata vergine in Cremona under Dantone.

Luca has recorded for Christophorus, Arcana, Glossa and Sony DHM.
