Born in Seoul, Leon Kim trained at Han-Yang University and the “Cherubini” Conservatory in Florence, later specialising at the Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Winner of prestigious international competitions, including “Zandonai”, “Iris Adami Corradetti”, and “Operalia”, he made his debut in Korea as Rigoletto and Masetto. He has performed in major Italian and European theatres, including Bologna, Genoa, Trieste, Cagliari, Naples, Parma, Dublin, Montpellier, Ljubljana, and at the Wexford Festival, in titles such as Un ballo in maschera, Simon Boccanegra, La forza del destino, La Traviata, Macbeth, Aida, Rigoletto, Luisa Miller, Pagliacci, and La fanciulla del West.
