Gezim Myshketa - Belcore*

Young Albanian baritone Gezim Myshketa is one of the most promising artists of his generation. After his debut as Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro, he won the As.Li.Co. competition in 2006, making his role debut as Leporello in Don Giovanni, and the "Francesco Paolo Tosti" Competition in Ortona in 2008. Interesting collaborations have followed with prestigious theaters and festivals, such as: Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Sferisterio in Macerata, Palm Beach Opera, Abao Olbe in Bilbao, Opéra de Montpellier, Teatro Filarmonico in Verona and Teatro Verdi in Trieste. Mr Myshketa recently performed in La Bohème (Marcello) in Trieste; Le Convenienze e Inconvenienze Teatrali and I Pazzi per Progetto at the Zurich Opernhaus; Cléopatre at the Withsun Festival in Salzburg; Carmen at the Macerata Opera Festival; I Puritani in Bratislava; Ali Pascha von Janina in Tirana. Mr. Myshketa has just added important roles to his repertoire: Rolando in La Battaglia di Legnano at the Festival Verdi in Parma and Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Treviso and Ferrara.

Future plans include: Don Carlo and Turandot at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse; Falstaff in Stuttgart; Lucia di Lammermoor in Marseille.
