Gezim Myshketa - Giorgio Germont*
After his successes as Escamillo in Carmen in Stuttgart, as Frà Melitone in La
Forza del Destino at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona and as Ezio in
Attila for the opening night of the season at the Teatro Comunale in
Bologna, Gezim Myshketa will make his company debut in Leipzig starring in
Verdi’s renowned title, which he had already sang in Stuttgart and Hamburg.
Particularly interesting is his collaboration with the Staatstheater in
Stuttgart where in the past months he also performed Falstaff and La Bohème.
Other recent engagements include: Carmen at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin
and in St. Gallen and Turandot at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse.
Mr. Myshketa regularly works with conductors as: Philippe Auguin, Bruno
Campanella, Diego Fasolis, Will Humburg, Michele Mariotti, Daniel Oren and Nello
Santi; and such directors as Daniele Abbado, Robert Carsen, Dante Ferretti,
Pierluigi Pizzi and Graham Vick.
Plans include: Simon
Boccanegra (Paolo Albiani) in Antwerp; I Puritani (Sir Riccardo
Forth), Faust (Valentin), Le Nozze di Figaro (Conte) and revivals
of La Bohème (Marcello) in Stuttgart; La Rondine (Rambaldo) at the
Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse.
