Francesca Cucuzza - Soprano - W Print

Born in Palermo in 1995, Francesca Maria Cucuzza started her music studies playing piano at the Conservatory V. Bellini of Palermo since she was 8. When she was 13, she moved to Modena and attended, at the same time as the music high-school, singing courses at Istituto musicale pareggiato "Vecchi-Tonelli"of Modena, under the guidance of M° Tiziana Tramonti. Then, she graduated with full marks at Conservatory “Girolamo Frescobaldi” in Ferrara, under M° Cinzia Forte. She is currently attending her Master degree with the same teacher.

In 2016 she won the international singing competition “Città di Ferrara IV edition” and made her debut as Ines in Il trovatore by G. Verdi.

In addition, she was awarded the Daniele Barioni prize, for the youngest performer. She stands out in many other international singing competitions: “Magda Olivero 2019”, second prize winner; “Toti dal Monte” of Treviso, winner of scholarship and masterclass to perform as Adalgisa in Norma by Vincenzo Bellini; "Fausto Ricci" IV edition, first prize between “emerging voices” category; "Gli amici di Irina", at Teatro comunale "Claudio Abbado in Ferrara, first prize winner. She was selected in the competition of “Europa in Canto” and made her debut at Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Teatro Comunale Mario del Monaco di Treviso, Teatro Comunale di Rovigo and Teatro Argentina di Roma performing as Seconda Dama and Papagena in Il Flauto Magico by Mozart.

Most recent engagements include: Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at Teatro Comunale di Modena, Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro at Teatro Comunale di Treviso, Jesi and Ferrara as winner of “Toti dal Monte” competition, Giovanna in Rigoletto in Busseto. She has taken part in a Traviata production for AsLiCo. She made her debut as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro with the Senzaspine Orchestra in Bologna, and then singing arias from Il Flauto Magico in a Concert at Teatro Real di Madrid.

Francesca has just made his debut in Valencia as Maddalena in Il Viaggio a Reims at Palau de les artes, plans after the lockdown include: Kronungsmesse by Mozart (under the baton of Zubin Mehta) and Madama Butterflyvat the Teatro del Maggio in Florence.
