Daniela Cappiello - Musetta*
Winner of the International Lyric Contest Santa Chiara in Naples and of the Toti
dal Monte Prize in Treviso, young and up-and-coming soprano Daniela Cappiello will
make her debut in Puccini’s masterpiece.
She recently performed Lisa in La Sonnambula and Elvira in L’Italiana in Algeri
in Treviso and in Ferrara, under the baton of Francesco Ommassini, Rautendelein
in Respighi’s La Campana Sommersa at Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, Donato Renzetti
conducting, Gilda in Rigoletto in Busseto with Teatro Regio of Parma and
suor Osmina in Suor Angelica at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples
Plans include: Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Blonde)
in Treviso and Ferrara, Francesco Ommassini conducting; Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer
Night's Dream at the Ravello Festival with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale
della Rai and James Conlon conducting.

di Firenze (Emilio) at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino; Die Lustige Witwe
and La Bohème at the Teatro Filarmonico and Morales in Carmen at the
Arena in Verona; Faust (Valentin) in Skopje; Alidoro in La Cenerentola
in Savona; La Bohème in Catania; La rondine in Lucca and on tour in
Tuscany; Sharpless in Madama Butterfly at Teatro dell'Opera in Florence,
at Glyndebourne Festival; Schaunard in La bohème at the Teatro Petruzzelli
in Bari; La Fanciulla del West at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Riccardo
Chailly conducting and Robert Carsen directing. Plans include:
Madama Butterfly (Sharpless) at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera and
