
Aquiles Machado – Manrico
After his successes gained singing
Tosca and in I Masnadieri in Naples, La Gioconda in Palermo
and Rome, La Forza del Destino at the Festival Verdi in Parma, Ernani
in Bilbao, Un Ballo in Maschera in Liège and Simon Boccanegra
in Berlin, Aquiles Machado adds another important verdian role to his repertoire
singing Manrico in Il Trovatore.
Among his recent engagements it is
worth mentioning: Don José in Carmen in Las Palmas; Gabriele Adorno in
Simon Boccanegra in Zurich; Alfredo in La Traviata in Florence;
Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago;
Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Wiener Staatsoper; Rodolfo in La Bohème
in Valencia, Riccardo Chailly conducting; Un Ballo in Maschera in Las
Palmas; Norma at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna.
Aquiles
Machado had just performed Verdi’s Requiem in Bologna and on tour in
Moscow at the Rostropovich Festival and a lyric concert in Palermo.
Future plans: Roméo et Juliette (Roméo) at the Opéra Royal de
Wallonie in Liège; Tosca in Leipzig; La Traviata in Oviedo;
Madama Butterfly in Vienna (Wiener Staatsoper); I due Foscari in
Toulouse; Norma in Palermo. Mr. Machado
will star in Verdi’s Requiem in Leipzig, Cincinnati and St. Louis.

Luciano Montanaro - Ferrando
Particularly appreciated in Verdi
and Puccni’s operas Luciano Montanaro recently sang: Rigoletto in Madrid
and Nice; Nabucco in Parma; Madama Butterfly at the Teatro
dell’Opera in Rome, in Turin and Toulouse; Don Carlo (Il Grande
inquisitore) in Modena and Piacenza. Mr
Montanaro also partecipated at the production of Don Carlo at the Teatro
alla Scala in Milan in the 2008-2009 season. Luciano Montanaro is a regular
guest at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège, where he sang in Samson et
Dalila, Rigoletto, Otello, Il Trovatore, Falstaff,
La fanciulla del West, La forza del destino, and where in the next
months he will star in Aida, Luisa Miller and Rigoletto.

Rosanna Lo Greco - Ines
Young and
upcoming soprano Rosanna Lo Greco graduated with honor at the Conservatory
Benedetto Marcello in Venice and she is now specializing under the guidance of
Mariella Devia. Rosanna Lo Greco is recipient of
noumeros prizes in important international Contests such as: A.G.I.M.U.S in Rome
(2009); AsLiCo (Teatro Sociale di Como); finalist at the Santa Chiara Contest in
Naples (2011 and 2012).
In the past seasons she performed
as Musetta (La Bohème) in Treviso; Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro)
in Padoa; Fiordispina (L’impresario in angustie) in Venice (Teatro
Arsenale); Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) in Udine and Trieste; Musetta in
La Bohème at the teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa; Dame and Papagena (Die Zauberflöte) at the Teatro Regio in Turin, Comunale in Bologna, and on tour
in Italy in Como, Brescia, Reggio Emilia, Cremona, Milan (Arcimboldi), Rome,
Pordenone; Frasquita in Carmen at the “Marghera Opera Festival” a
cooproduction with the La Fenice in Venice.

Paolo Arrivabeni - conductor
Music
Director at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège
Regularly invited by the major theaters and opera festivals Paolo Arrivabeni is an expert of Italian Opera
particularly interested also in great Russian and German composers; in the past
seasons he had indeed conducted operas by Mahler, Strauss and Musorgskij. M°
Arrivabeni recently conducted La Favorite at the Théâtre des Champs
Elysées in Paris, Traviata in Dresden and La Forza del Destino in Liège.
Paolo Arrivabeni returns to the Sferisterio Opera Festival where he gained great
success conducting La Bohème in the last season and Norma in 2007.
Future plans: Il Turco in Italia and revivals of Lucrezia
Borgia at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich; Macbeth in Dresden and
Copenhagen; La Straniera, I Due Foscari, Moïse et Pharaon in Marseille;
Macbeth and Maria Stuarda at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin; La
Bohème at the New National Theatre in Tokyo; La Straniera at the
Theater an der Wien; Don Giovanni in Monte- Carlo; La Forza del
Destino at the Grand Théâtre de Genève; La Rondine in Toulouse. In
Liège M° Arrivabeni will conduct Fidelio, Aida, La Cenerentola,
Tosca, Les Pécheurs de Perles, Ernani, Die Zauberflöte, Turandot and a
series of concerts including a Wagnerian gala.
