Nicola Alaimo - baritone
After his recent successes as Don Pasquale at the Teatro Real de Madrid (under the baton of Riccardo Muti), and at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome (under the baton of Bruno Campanella) Nicola Alaimo will perform: Guillaume Tell at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, in Bologna and in Brussels (with Evelino Pidò); Falstaff in Marseille, Ravenna and at the Fujiwara Opera in Tokyo; Il Trovatore at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam; Luisa Miller in Liège; Simon Boccanegra (Paolo) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona opposite Placido Domingo in the title role; L'Elisir d'Amore (Dottor Dulcamara) in Berlin and Munich; La Cenerentola at the Salzburg Festival under the baton of Jean-Christophe Spinosi; Le Comte Ory (Raimbaud) at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Don Quichotte at the Lyric Opera in Chicago, Yannis Kokkos directing. Mr. Alaimo will also star in important future productions at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
Luca Dall’Amico - bass
Young and upcoming bass Luca Dall’Amico was chosen by Riccardo Muti for the role of Agamemnon in Iphigénie en Aulide at the Opera in Rome. He was one of the four soloists of the 2011 Ravenna Festival final concert conducted by Muti in Ravenna and replicated in Piacenza and Nairobi. He recently performed in Macbeth (Banco) and Attila (Leone) under the baton of Riccardo Muti at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome; Le Nozze di Figaro in Ancona; Petite Messe Solennelle, Simon Boccanegra, I Due Foscari in Rome; Il Barbiere di Siviglia, La Bohème in Venice; Madama Butterfly and Tosca in Torre del Lago; Le Nozze di Figaro in Vicenza. Future plans Nabucco in Rome and at the Salzburg Festival under Riccardo Muti; Don Carlo at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan; L’Africaine, La Clemenza di Tito and revivals of Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Venice; a concert in Chicago with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Riccardo Muti.
