Biagio Pizzuti - Belcore*
Young Italian baritone, Biagio Pizzuti specialized at the Opera Studio of Teatro
Carlo Felice in Genoa and currently at the Fabbrica dell’Opera, the Young Artist
Program of Teatro dell’Opera in Rome. Recent engagements include: Cléopatre at
the Withsun Festival in Salzburg as a member of the Salzburg Young Singers
Project under Vladimir Fedoseyev; Gianni Schicchi (Betto di Signa) at the
Theater and der Wien, as Maestro Spinelloccio/Ser Amantio at the Teatro del
Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and in the title role at Teatro Lirico Sperimentale
in Spoleto; Leporello in Don Giovanni in Maribor; Dulcamara in
L’Elisir d’Amore with the Circuito Lirico Lombardo on tour in Italy;
Guglielmo in Così fan tutte in Liverpool; Il Viaggio a Reims (Don
Prudenzio) at the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam with Stefano Montanari
conducting and Damiano Michieletto directing; Fauré’s Requiem at
Filarmonico in Verona. Biagio Pizzuti just made his debut as Taddeo in L’Italiana
in Algeri at Opera in Florence, Bruno Campanella conducting.
Amongst his future plans it is worth mentioning Leporello in Don
Giovanni at Theater Basel.
