Marianna Pizzolato - Marchesa Melibea

Marianna Pizzolato made her debut at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro with Il Viaggio a Reims, becoming a reference performer for the main Rossini roles, as well as for Baroque and eighteenth century’s repertoire; she is now considered one of the foremost voices of our time. Mrs. Pizzolato sang in the most prestigious theaters in the world under conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Antonio Pappano, Alberto Zedda, Bruno Campanella and Daniele Gatti, just to name a few. Recent engagements include her debut with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai singing Verdi’s Requiem, for the opening concert of the season; Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Naples; Rota’s Mysterium in Rome and Naples; La Donna del Lago in Santa Fe;  La Cenerentola in Sevilla; Petite Messe Solennelle in Lucerne; Brahms’s Alto Rhapsody at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo; Verdi’sRequiem at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig. Plans include: Maria Stuarda and Nabucco at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona; La Cenerentola in Liège; L’Italiana in Algeri in Toulouse; Tancredi in Santiago de Chile. After her successful return to Japan last March for a recital, she will back to Tokyo performing a solo concert in 2015, while in 2016 she will make her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

Alessandra Marianelli - Madama Cortese

Alessandra Marianelli is considered one of the most promising sopranos of her generation. Still very young, Ms. Marianelli started an international career that brought her to sing in major opera houses and festivals. In September 2010 she made her US debut performing in Don Giovanni with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Roberto Abbado conducting. She then appeared as Xenja in Boris Godunov in Turin. She sang Rossini’s Stabat Mater in Florence under the baton of Zubin Mehta; Un Ballo in Maschera at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo; La Serva Padrona at the Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi (filmed by Unitel and issued as a DVD); Ein deutsches Requiem in Rome. She also added other important roles to her repertoire: Musetta (La Bohème) in Riga and Florence, Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro) at the Teatro Real de Madrid, Juliette (Roméo et Juliette) at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, under Fabio Luisi. Ms. Marianelli lately returned to Jesi singing in Spontini’s La Fuga in Maschera (Corrado Rovaris conducting), then revived in Naples, La Sonnambula in Monte-Carlo and in Bari, Carmen (Micaëla) at the Macerata Opera Festival and at the Teatro Regio in Turin, Gianandrea Noseda conducting, Ricciardo e Zoraide (Zoraide) in Bad Wildbad, Così fan tutte in Cagliari, La Bohème(Musetta) at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. Ms. Marianelli recently made her debut as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni and as Flaminia in Haydn’s Il Mondo della Luna in Monte-Carlo. Among her future plans, it is worth mentioning: Wolf-Ferrari’s Il Campiello (Gasparina) in Florence for the season’s opening; Orfeo ed Euridice at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples. She will also participate in Martinů’s Julietta at the Opernhaus in Zurich.

Gezim Myshketa - Don Alvaro

Young Albanian baritone Gezim Myshketa is one of the most promising artists of his generation. He regularly collaborates with prestigious theaters and festivals, such as: Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Palm Beach Opera, Abao Olbe in Bilbao, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Hamburgische Staatsoper, Opéra de Montpellier, Filarmonico in Verona, Verdi in Trieste, Regio in Parma, Withsun Festival in Salzburg and Macerata Opera Festival. Mr. Myshketa added important roles to his repertoire: Rolando in La Battaglia di Legnano at the Festival Verdi in Parma and Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Treviso and Ferrara. He also sang: Massenet’s Cléopâtre at the Salzburg Festival; Le Convenienze e inconvenienze teatrali (Biscroma) and I Pazzi per Progetto (Venanzio) in Zurich, Paolo Carignani conducting; Alì Pascha von Janina in Tirana; L’Elisir d’Amore (Belcore) and Maria Stuarda besides Mariella Devia at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona; Lucia di Lammermoor in Marseille; Carmen in Seoul at the Sugi Opera Company. After his successful debut as Ford in Falstaff a the Staatstheater Stuttgart, Mr. Myshketa started a prolific collaboration with this opera house, where he will sing, as a returning guest, in La Traviata, Falstaff, La Bohème, Carmen and I Puritani. Sandra Pastrana - Isolina

The young Spanish soprano made her debut in Barcelona as Norina in Don Pasquale, a role that she then performed under the baton of Riccardo Muti at the Musikverein in Vienna. In the past seasons she appeared in La Traviata in Marbella, Haydn’s Lo Speziale at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, La Gazza Ladra (Ninetta) at the Rossini Opera Festival in Wildbad. She was Violetta Valery in La Traviata in Siena, conducted by Gianluigi Gelmetti; Lisette in Graham Vick’s production of La Rondine by Puccini at La Fenice in Venice; Marie in La Fille du Régiment in Tokyo. She also sang Don Pasquale in Ancona under Bruno Campanella; La Cecchina in Bergamo under Stefano Montanari; Adelaide di Borgogna in La Coruña with Alberto Zedda; Petite Messe Solennelle with Gustav Kuhn in Lucca, Erl and Rome; Rigoletto in Korea with Deuk-Gy Kim. She recently performed Don Giovanni in Lucca; La Sonnambula and L’Elisir d’Amore in Malaga; Werther in Salerno and Sassari where she also sang La clemenza di Tito and Il Signor Bruschino; Il Ratto dal Serraglio (world premiere of the Italian version) in Vicenza; Help, Help, the Globolinks! in Palermo; Rigoletto in Cosenza; La Traviata in Spoleto and Ljubljana; Nabucco in Erl under Gustav Kuhn; Il Cappello di Paglia di Firenze at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence; La Bottega dei Sogni in Bari; a concert in Monte Carlo and in Kazan. Among her future plans it is worth mentioning Massenet’s Manon at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège and a Gala Concert in Benicassim.
