Burcu Uyar - Miss Lucia*
Immediately noticed by professionals, Mrs Uyar first stepped on stage in the
role of Olympia in Jacques Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffman at the Izmir
State Opera. After that she then became a member of the ensemble of the Deutsche
Oper in Berlin, where in the past seasons she starred as Lucia in Lucia di
Lammermoor, Violetta in La Traviata, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni,
Gilda in Rigoletto, and Die Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte,
just to name a few. Particularly appreciated in the French repertoire (Bizet,
Delibes, Gounod, Massenet, Offenbach), her role list also includes Mozart's
masterpieces and operas by Donizetti and Verdi. Mrs. Uyar sang Lucia in Lucia
di Lammermoor in Padua; Donna Anna in Don Giovanni in Bari, Roberto
Abbado conducting and Mario Martone directing and in Kiel; Juliette in Roméo
and Juliette in Sassari; Violetta in La Traviata in Lecce; Die
Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte with René Jacobs and the Akademie
für Alte Musik on tour throughout Europe (Concertgebouw - Amsterdam; Bozart -
Brussels; Accademia di Santa Cecilia - Rome; Palau de la Musica Catalana -
Barcelona; Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation - Lisbon) and later in Leipzig; La
Bohème in Ankara.
Burcu Uyar recorded Gluck’s Il Trionfo di Clelia (Larissa) in Athens for
MDG and performed the role at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna.
Future plans include Don
Giovanni (Donna Anna) in Antwerp and in Berlin; and Die Zauberflöte in
Vichy and Liège.

Giuseppe Gipali - Sir Edgardo di Ravenswood
Refined
interpreter of Verdi’s operas, his repertoire ranges from Bel Canto to Verismo,
to the French Lyric repertoire, which he sang all over the world in prestigious
theatres such as: Teatro alla Scala, Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Teatro La Fenice
in Venice, Arena di Verona, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Covent Garden in London,
Wiener Staatsoper, Théâtre du Chatelet and Opera Bastille in Paris, Théâtre du
Capitole in Toulouse, Liceu in Barcelona, San Francisco Opera. Mr. Gipali
regularly collaborated with conductors as Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Daniele
Gatti, Nicola Luisotti, Daniele Callegari and directors as Franco Zeffirelli,
Mario Martone and Pierluigi Pizzi. Mr. Gipali lately performed La Traviata in
Bologna; Don Carlo in Zurich, Vienna and Berlin; Il Trovatore in
Marseille; Attila at the Opera in Rome, at the Teatro Filarmonico in
Verona, and at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège; Norma in Toulon;
Riccardo in Un Ballo in Maschera in Buenos Aires. Mr. Gipali will return
to Marseille singing Jacopo Foscari in I Due Foscari in Marseille
and in Lousanne to perform Rodolfo in Luisa Miller.

Gezim Myshketa - Lord Enrico Ashton*
Young Albanian baritone, Gezim Myshketa is one of the most promising artists of
his generation. After his debut as Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro, he won
the As.Li.Co. competition in 2006, making his role debut as Leporello in Don
Giovanni, and the "Francesco Paolo Tosti" Competition in Ortona in 2008.
Interesting collaborations have followed with prestigious theaters and
festivals, such as: Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Palm Beach Opera, Abao Olbe in
Bilbao, Opéra de Montpellier, Filarmonico in Verona, Verdi in Trieste, Regio in
Parma, Withsun Festival in Salzburg and Macerata Opera Festival.
Mr. Myshketa added important roles to his repertoire: Rolando in La Battaglia
di Legnano at the Festival Verdi in Parma and Figaro in Il Barbiere di
Siviglia in Treviso and Ferrara, he also lately starred in Cléopatre at
the Salzburg Festival; Le Convenienze e inconvenienze teatrali (Biscroma)
and I Pazzi per Progetto (Venanzio) in Zurich, Paolo Carignani
conducting; Alì Pascha von Janina in Tirana, L’Elisir d’Amore at
the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona.
Mr Myshketa had just gained great success as Ford in Falstaff in
Stuttgart starting a prolific collaboration with Staatstheater Stuttgart where
he will sing, as returning guest, in La Traviata, Falstaff, La Bohème,
Carmen and I Puritani . Among
other future plans: Turandot in Toulouse; La
Traviata in Hamburg; Maria Stuarda at the Teatro Filarmonico in
Verona; Gianni Schicchi in Piacenza.
