Badri Maisuradze – Canio
With his dark and powerful tenor voice, Badri Maisuradze boasts a vast repertory that includes about 40 roles in Russian, Italian, French, German and Georgian works of both classical and contemporary music. Mr. Maisuradze collaborated with such conductors as Maurizio Arena, Vladimir Fedoseev, Valery Gergiev, Antonio Guadagno, Daniel Oren, Seiji Ozawa, Carlo Rizzi, Mstislav Rostropovich, Alexander Vedernikov and Marcello Viotti, performing at Europe’s major opera houses. Mr Maisuradze lately performed: Otello at the Opéra National de Lorraine in Nancy, at the Split Summer Festival in Croatia, at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège, Gozo and at the Cape Town Opera; Aida at the Greek National Opera in Athens; Il Tabarro and Cavalleria Rusticana in Messina; Samson et Dalila (Samson) at the Opéra de Montpellier.
Mario Cassi - Silvio
Already well-established as one of the most appreciated baritones of his generation, Mr. Cassi regularly collaborates with conductors as Riccardo Muti, Bruno Campanella, Roberto Abbado, in the most prestigious theaters in Italy and abroad. Mr Cassi recently reported a great success as Dottor Malatesta in Don Pasquale for the season’s opening night at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Antonio Albanese directing, as Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Naples under the baton of Bruno Campanella and as Belcore in L’Elisir d’amore in Vienna.
Future plans: Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Figaro) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, in Tel Aviv and in Buenos Aires; Die Zauberflöte (Papageno) and Lucia di Lammermoor in Liège; Il Viaggio a Reims (Don Alvaro) in Amsterdam; L’Elisir d’amore in Munich.
