at the Opéra National de Lorraine in Nancy

 

Giuseppe Talamo - Michelino

A student of Mirella Freni, is emerging as an interpreter of operas by Verdi and Puccini. Particularly appreciated is his Rodolfo in La Bohème at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, in the theater circuit in Lombardy, on a tour in Spain and at the Opera Festival in Florence. He has also performed in concert at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa with the Strings ensemble of Teatro alla Scala, at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona and at  the Fenice in Venice. Mr. Talamo returns to Nancy where in the past season performed Macduff in Macbeth and in a lyric concert.

 

Valeriu Caradja - Raffaele

Young and promising baritone, Valeriu Caradja won the Francesc Viñas International Contest in Barcelona and other important international contests. Mr. Caradja recently performed La Battaglia di Legnano at the Verdi Festival in Parma, L’Arlesiana in Jesi, La Clemenza di Tito in Modena and Reggio Emilia, Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro in Piacenza and Modena, Ford in Falstaff at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera and at the Teatro della Fortuna in Fano, Evgenij Onegin at the Comunale in Bologna, Beethoven’s 9th Symphnony in Rouen.

 

Clemente Antonio Daliotti - Luigi

After attending the Rossini Academy in Pesaro with Alberto Zedda, Mr. Daliotti performed L’Elisir d’amore (Dulcamara) in Lecce, Il Barbiere di Siviglia  in Bari (cond. Maazel), Haly in L’Italiana in Algeri in Bologna, the first modern revival of Spontini’s La Fuga in Maschera in Jesi and in Naples, Pallante in Handel’s Agrippina at the Festival in Beaune (cond. Sardelli), Schaunard in La Bohème in St. Margarethen, Guglielmo in Così fan Tutte in Sassari, La Cenerentola (Dandini)in Treviso. Among his future plans, it is worth mentioning Il Campiello at the Teatro Musicale Fiorentino in Florence.

 

Arianna Donadelli - Bettina e Carmela

Raina Kabaivanska’s student, won two consecutive editions of the “Toti dal Monte” competition in Treviso (2009-2010) as a result of which she was engaged with L'Elisir d’Amore (Giannetta) in Treviso and an international tournée with Haydn’s La Vera Costanza in Madrid, then in Treviso, Reggio Emilia, Rouen, Saint-Etienne, Liège under the baton of Jesus Lopez-Cobos. Among her recent commitments: Un giorno di Regno (Giulietta) in Parma; the world première in modern times of Piccinni’s Il Finto Turco in Vicenza; L’Osteria di Marechiaro in Naples; Orfeo all’Inferno in Florence; L'elisir d'amore and Le nozze di Figaro in Venice.

 

Milena Storti - Amalia

After her debut as Cenerentola at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa, Milena Storti performed Le Comte Ory, Falstaff , Rigoletto in Turin; Luisa Miller (Federica) in Palermo; Gianni Schicchi (Zita) in Jesi.

Mrs. Storti is particularly interested in 17th and 18th Century, 20th Century and contemporary music repertoire, participating in numerous productions, performing with conductors such as Christophe Rousset, Ottavio Dantone, Alan Curtis, Fabio Biondi, Werner Ehrardt, Christopher Hogwood. She recently sang Così fan tutte (Despina) in Dijon; La Calisto, Tito Manlio and Il ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria at the Theater an der Wien; Gianni Schicchi, Le Rossignol and Beethoven's Symphony n.9 in Cagliari.

 

Mariangela Sicilia - Rosina

One of the most up-and-coming Italian sopranos of her generation, she won the Tito Schipa lyric contest in Lecce, for L’Elisir d’amore. Lately she was appreciated as Vivetta in Cilea’s L’Arlesiana both at the Wexford Festival Opera and at the Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi, then she performed Gilda in Rigoletto in Bari; L’Italiana in AlgeriLa Donna del Lago and Il viaggio a Reims at the ROF in Pesaro; Orfeo ed Euridice in New York; L’Elisir d’Amore in Madrid; Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in Ravenna and Tel Aviv (broadcast by the Italian National Television); L’Elisir d’Amore in Monte Carlo; La Pietra del Paragone in Paris; Petite Messe Solennelle in Saint Etienne under Zedda. Future plansL’Elisir d’Amore in Brussels; La Bohème (Musetta) and Adriana Lecouvreur at the Opéra National de Paris; Guillaume Tell at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna; La scala di seta in Liege; Verdi’s Quattro Pezzi Sacri in Amsterdam.

 

Loriana Castellano - Concetta

Winner of the A. Belli Competition 2010 in Spoleto and Toti dal Monte Competition in Treviso in 2012, she studied the Baroque repertoire with Edward Smith and Sara Mingardo. Among her performances: Myslivecek’s Medonte with L’Arte del Mondo and W. Ehrhardt (recorded for Sony/DHM); Vivaldi’s Juditha Triumphans in Braunschweig and Beaune with Modo Antiquo and Sardelli; Stravinsky’s Pulcinella with the Netherlands Radio Chamber Orchestra and T. Fischer in Utrecht; Catone in Utica in Vienna again with Sardelli. More recently, she sang La Cenerentola (title role) in São Paulo, Il Matrimonio Segreto (Fidalma) in Treviso and on tour in Italy, La Cambiale di Matrimonio (Clarina) in Ingolstadt, Vivaldi’s Farnace (1738) in Florence and La Betulia Liberata at the Wratislavia Cantans International Festival under Rovaris. Plans include: Don Giovanni (Zerlina) in Monte Carlo.
