Marco Armiliato - conductor
One of the leading names in the international operatic scene, he is guest of the
most prestigious theaters in the world collaborating with the Metropolitan Opera
in New York, the Opéra de Paris and the Wiener Staatsoper, just to name a few.
He claims a rich discography with Decca and Atlantic Records, and recently
received the prestigious Grammy Award for the CD “Verismo” with Renée
Fleming. He conducted Anna Bolena at the Metropolitan Opera for the
opening night of the 2011/2012 season. Marco Armiliato returns to the Opéra
National de Paris, where in the past season concducted La Rondine, Otello
and Il Babiere di Siviglia.
The Italian Maestro recently conducted Tosca at the Bayerische Staatsoper
in Munich, Aida and Tosca at the Arena in Verona, Ernani
and Aida at the Metropolitan in New York.
Maestro Armiliato's future engagements include productions at the
Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Metropolitan Opera in New York, Opéra National
de Paris, Wiener Staatsoper, Chicago Opera Theater, Gran Teatre del Liceu in
Barcelona, Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London and Zurich Opernhaus.
