 Marco Armiliato - conductor
One of the leading names in the international operatic scene, Marco Armiliato
returns to Arena di Verona
for two prominent engagements: Aida and
Tosca.
Guest of the most prestigious theaters in the world he regularly collaborates
with the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Opéra de Paris and the Wiener
Staatsoper, just to name a few. He claims a rich discography with Decca and
Atlantic Records, and recently received the prestigious Grammy Award for the CD
“Verismo” with Renée Fleming. He has just conducted Anna Bolena at
the Metropolitan Opera for the opening night of the 2011/2012 season.
Maestro Armiliato's future engagements include productions at the Bayerische
Staatsoper in Munich, Deutsche Oper and Staatsoper Berlin, Metropolitan Opera in
New York, Opéra National de Paris, Wiener Staatsoper, Chicago Opera Theater,
Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Arena in Verona and Zurich Opernhaus.
