Stefano Montanari - conductor

After his successes in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at La Fenice in Venice, Così Fan Tutte at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, in Handel’s Rinaldo on tour and series of concerts with Il Pomo d’oro and his debut with the Badische Staatskapelle at the International Handel Festival in Karlsruhe, Stefano Montanari recently performed in a series of concerts in Montreal with the Arion Baroque Orchestra, at Teatro Real in Madrid with Andreas Scholl and in Italy with I Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra in Milan and with the Filarmonica Teatro Regio Torino in Turin.

Future plans include: Agrippina and La Clemenza di Tito in Antwerp; L’Elisir d’Amore at La Fenice in Venice; Il Viaggio a Reims at Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Damiano Michieletto directing; Rossini’s Stabat Mater with the Warsaw Philharmonic in Warsaw; concerts in Milan with the Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali. He will return to the Opéra de Lyon involved in several new projects, among which Alceste and Don Giovanni (on tour in Oman) and series of concerts. His new collaboration with the young baroque orchestra Il Pomo d’oro will lead him to conduct many concert and opera projects all around Europe.
