 Paolo Carignani - Conductor
Paolo Carignani graduated in
Composition, Organ and Piano from the G. Verdi Music Conservatory in Milan and
studied Orchestral Conducting with Alceo Galliera. His vast repertoire spans from Donizetti to Puccini, Rossini to Strauss
and Verdi, and has brought him to conduct on the world's most prestigious
stages, such as the Wiener Staatsoper, Berliner Staatsoper Deutsche Oper Berlin,
Bayerische Staatsoper, Royal Opera House-Covent Garden, Opéra Bastille in Paris,
Opernhaus Zurich, Concertgebouw and Royal Opera House in Amsterdam, Metropolitan
Opera in New York, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, and opera houses in
Brussels, Antwerpen and Oslo, as well as Italy's major opera houses.
Future plans: Die Fledermaus at the Bayerische
Staatsoper in Munich; Tosca in Toronto; Simon Boccanegra, La Traviata,
Nabucco, Andrea Chénier in Vienna; Il Trovatore, La Traviata, Falstaff,
Otello in Munich; Otello in Zurich; Rigoletto in Strasbourg;
Turandot in New York.

 Gezim Myshketa - Biscroma Strappaviscere/Venanzio
Young
Albanian baritone Gezim Myshketa is one of the most interesting artists of his
generation. After his debut as Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro, he won the
As.Li.Co. competition in 2006, making his role debut as Leporello in Don
Giovanni, and the "Francesco Paolo Tosti" Competition in Ortona in 2008.
Interesting collaborations have followed with prestigious theaters and
festivals, such as: Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Sferisterio in Macerata, Palm
Beach Opera, Abao Olbe in Bilbao, Opéra de Montpellier, Teatro Filarmonico in
Verona and Teatro Verdi in Trieste.
Future plans: Carmen
(Escamillo) in Novara; La Bohème in Trieste; and La Gazza Ladra in
Verona.

Highlights of his successful career
include: Un Giorno di Regno, Madama Butterfly and Il Processo
at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Falstaff (title role) in Salzburg,
Bologna, Rovigo, Bolzano and Trento; L’Elisir d’Amore (Dulcamara) at the
Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona; Don Quixote in Trieste; Il Turco
in Italia (Don Geronio) in Rome; L’Italiana in Algeri (Taddeo) in
Lisbon; and a prestigious stage debut at the Zurich Opernhaus in Il Turco in
Italia opposite Cecilia Bartoli and Ruggero Raimondi (recorded for Dynamic).
In Zurich, he also performed I Quatro Rusteghi, Falstaff, La
Forza del Destino and Il Segreto di Susanna.
