Francesca Tiburzi - Amelia
Francesca Tiburzi
was born in Bergamo and began her musical studies at 14. In 2005 she
attended courses of early music at the Accademia Internazionale della Musica in
Milan, singing in different children choir performing music by Palestrina,
Cavalli, Rossi, Monteverdi, Bach and Mozart. In 2011 she graduated with honor from
the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali “Donizetti” and she is now studying
under the guidance of Giuseppina Cortesi.
She
specialized with Francois Ogéas, Mary Lindsey, Rosanna Lippi, Donata D’Annunzio
Lombardi, Katia Ricciarelli, Francesco Zingariello, Francesca Patanè, Mariella
Devia, Yva Barthelemy. Ms. Tiburzi is a recipient of important prizes in
prestigious contests such as: Alfredo Giacomotti (2012), Ottavio Ziino (2012),
Marcella Pobbe (2014), Etta Limiti (2015).
Francesca Tiburzi
made her debut in 2008 at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo; she then made her
debut as Violetta in La Traviata under the baton of Francesco
Zingariello and she performed Anna Bolena (title role) at the
Teatro Bellini in Catania. Lately she obtained great success as Amelia in Un
Ballo in Maschera in Metz and in the title role in Tosca at the
Teatro Lirico in Cagliari. Ms. Tiburzi will return to Metz for two important role
debuts: Nedda in Pagliacci and Giorgetta in Il Tabarro.
