Hailed as an extraordinarily versatile artist, Marcello Giordani has a repertoire which encompasses a wide and diverse range of roles, spanning from the Bel Canto operas of Rossini, Donizetti and Bellini and the lyricism of French operatic repertoire, to the more dramatic roles of Verdi, Puccini and Berlioz and, most recently, the popular Verismo operas of Mascagni and Leoncavallo. Mr. Giordani has established an extraordinary international career, performing regularly on the world’s most prestigious concert stages and opera houses.

Plans include: Tosca in Vienna and Munich; Un Ballo in Maschera in Hamburg and Berlin; Turandot in Charlotte and Naples; Manon Lescaut in São Paulo and Vienna; Aida in Tokyo; La Bohème in Hannover. Mr. Giordani will also appear in concert in New York, Toronto, Seoul and London (Wigmore Hall). In next months Marcello Giordani will return to the Metropolitan Opera in New York singing in important productions.

One of the leading names in the international operatic scene, he is regular guest of the most prestigious theaters in the world. His recording of Verismo arias with Renée Fleming won a Grammy Award in 2010. His recent engagements include: Anna Bolena (Metropolitan Opera, New York, opening night of the 2011/12 season), Tosca, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Turandot and La Bohème (Bavarian State Opera), Aida and Tosca (Arena di Verona), Ernani, Aida, Francesca da Rimini, Rigoletto, Tosca, La Sonnambula, Madama Butterfly, La Bohème (Metropolitan Opera), La Traviata, Andrea Chénier and Tosca (Vienna State Opera), Madama Butterfly in Chicago and La Fille du Régiment (Paris Opéra).

Plans include: La Traviata and several important productions in the next seasons at the Metropolitan in New York; Tosca, Andrea Chénier, L’Elisir d’Amore, Don Carlo, I Puritani, Manon Lescaut, La Bohème, Roméo et Juliette, La Traviata, Il Trovatore (new production) and Simon Boccanegra (Vienna State Opera); Lucia di Lammermoor (Liceu, Barcelona), Manon Lescaut (Amsterdam); La Traviata and La Fanciulla del West (Zürich); Faust (Deutsche Oper Berlin); Werther (New National Theater, Tokyo); Dom Sébastien roi de Portugal (Toulouse), La Traviata (Munich), Madama Butterfly (Teatro Real, Madrid), Rigoletto (Chicago). M° Armiliato will perform in concerts in Vienna, Versailles, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Milan, Munich.
