Gianluca Buratto attended the "Verdi" Conservatoire in Milan, where he
studied with Mrs Hayward. He attended master classes with Sara Mingardo,
Ernesto Palacio, Jaume Aragall and Dalton Baldwin.
In 2006 he won the First Prize in the "Tagliavini" Competition and was
invited to sing Verdi's Requiem at the Festspielehaus in Bregenz.
Mr. Buratto made his operatic debut in 2009 in the world premiere of
Solbiati's Il carro e i canti at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste,
after which numerous important collaborations followed: the modern
premiere of Cesti's Le Disgrazie d'Amore with the ensemble Auser
Musici at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa; Bach's Cantata BWV 61 with
the Bach Consort Wien and Dubrovsky at the Musikverein in Vienna;
Donizetti's Maria Stuarda (Giorgio Talbot) again in Trieste; Fux's
Cristo nell'Orto in Vienna and Graz; Bach's B minor Mass

Donizetti's Le Duc d'Albe in London (Opera Rara); Die
Zauberfloete in Liège under Arrivabeni; Mascagni's Guglielmo
Ratcliff at the Wexford Festival Opera and Turandot (Timur)
in Montpellier.
Gianluca Buratto has been selected for the 2017 Monteverdi project with
John Eliot Gardiner and takes part in the worldwide tour of the
Monteverdi's Trilogy.

Mr Buratto starred as Papa Leone in Verdi's Attila, opening night
at the Teatro alla Scala under the baton of Chailly, after that he sang in

Ferrando in Il Trovatore again in Milan; Sparafucile in Rigoletto
in Berlin, Turin, Lyon, Verona (Filarmonico) and Milan; Cadmus/
Somnus in Handel's Semele with Monteverdi Choir and Orchestra on
tour; Missa Defunctorum under Muti in Pavia (Certosa) and in
Florence; Claudio in Handel's Agrippina in Paris (TCE) with Il
Pomo d'oro, at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munchen and at the Royal Opera
