Born in Rome, he studied at the "Santa Cecilia" Conservatory in Rome and
      later perfected his technique with Sesto Bruscantini.
    From 1985 to 1989, he was a member of the chorus of the Teatro dell’Opera
      Costanzi in Rome.
    He won the Belli Competition in Spoleto in 1988 and the Verdi Competition
      in Parma the following year, both as a bass soloist. He then embarked on
      an important operatic career in Italy (Teatro La Fenice in Venice, San
      Carlo in Naples, Arena di Verona, Teatro alla Scala, Teatro Regio in Turin
      and Parma, Opera di Roma, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Comunale
      di Bologna, Carlo Felice in Genoa, Massimo in Palermo, Comunale in
      Trieste, Sferisterio in Macerata, Bellini in Catania, Rossini Opera
      Festival in Pesaro) and abroad (Covent Garden in London, Concertgebouw in
      Amsterdam, Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, Deutsches Oper in Berlin,
      Opéra du Rhin in Strasbourg, Alte Oper and Städtische Bühnen in Frankfurt,
      Staatsoper in Hamburg, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, São Carlos in Lisbon,
      Principal in Palma de Mallorca, Semperoper in Dresden, Opernhaus in
      Zurich, and the theatres of Cologne, Reutlingen, Duisburg, Bilbao, Monte
      Carlo, St. Petersburg, Wexford Festival Opera, Norsk Rikskringkasting NRK
      in Oslo, Suntory Hall in Tokyo).
    He has worked with renowned conductors including R. Bonynge, Daniel Oren,
      V. Spivakov, F. Brüggen, L. Matl, N. Järvi, S. Cambreling, Y. David, D.
      Robertson, J. Abel, R. Jacobs, J. Delacôte, A. Rosmarba, A. Rasilainen, M.

    His extensive repertoire includes more than 130 leading and supporting
      roles in operatic works.
    Stefano Rinaldi Miliani has recorded for BMG Ricordi, Capriccio,
      Coriolan, Bongiovanni, Marco Polo, and Ars Nova.
    His recent engagements include Gianni Schicchi (Spinelloccio) and
      Otello (Montano) at Teatro Regio di Parma, Don Giovanni
      (Leporello) in Trapani, Aida (Ramfis) in Seoul; Verdi’s Requiem
      in Bangkok; Rigoletto (Monterone) and Don Carlo in Genoa.
    Since 2019, he has been a regular guest of the Arena di Verona
      Foundation, where he is annually invited, performing in La Traviata,
      Tosca, Madama Butterfly, and Strauss’s Elektra.
    Since 2014, he has been teaching opera singing in conservatories. He is
      currently a tenured professor at the "G. Paisiello" State Conservatory in
