At the age of 19, Samuele Simoncini began his era singing studies with the bass Paolo Washington. He completed his musical studies at the Istituto Musicale Pareggiato di Siena and graduated from the Accademia di Alto Perfezionamento of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino under the guidance of Bernadette Manca di Nissa. He furthered his studies in various academies with renowned masters, including Raina Kabaivanska, Rolando Panerai, Luca Canonici, and Dolora Zajick.
In 2001, he made his debut as a light tenor with the role of Dorvil in Rossini's La scala di seta; followed by Belfiore in Piccinni's Le finte gemelle, Almaviva in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia, Don Ramiro in Rossini's La Cenerentola, the Duke of Mantua in Verdi's Rigoletto, and Paolino in Cimarosa's Il matrimonio segreto. At the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, he played Don Pelagio in Haydn's La canterina and Belfiore in Mozart's La finta giardiniera. He made his debut at the Teatro Regio di Parma with Stravinsky's Oedipus Rex and he was conducted in Florence by Riccardo Muti in Cherubini's Missa solemnis in D minor.
After a period of study and refinement, in 2016 he made his debut in the new, more demanding and dramatic repertoire as Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca. In 2018, he made his debut in the role of Osaka in Iris at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Turiddu in Cavalleria rusticana directed by Emma Dante and conducted by Maestro Francesco Cilluffo in the theaters of the Circuito Lombardo and he was Manrico in Il trovatore at the Teatro Regio di Torino conducted by Maestro Pinchas Steinberg. In 2019, he played the title role in Andrea Chénier at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, at the Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna, at the Teatro dell'Opera in Maribor in Slovenia and at the Teatro Pavarotti in Modena and subsequently Radamès in Aida at the Arena di Verona conducted by Maestro Francesco Ivan Ciampa. In 2020, he made his debut in the role of Calaf in Turandot at the Teatro Regio di Parma. Subsequently, he performed at the Konzerthaus in Berlin under the direction of Maestro Felix Krieger where he recorded Mascagni's Iris for OEHMS Classica. In February 2021, he made his debut as Luigi in Puccini's Il Tabarro at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona conducted by Maestro Daniel Oren and in the following summer, he was the starred as Radamès in Aida and Ismaele in Nabucco at the Arena di Verona, again under the direction of Maestro Oren. He was the protagonist in the centenary staging of Mascagni's Il Piccolo Marat at the Teatro Goldoni in Livorno and he sang as Canio in Leoncavallo's Pagliacci in Tel Aviv conducted by Maestro Daniele Callegari, as Maurizio of Saxony in Adriana Lecouvreur in Piacenza conducted by Maestro Aldo Sisillo and in the summer 2022 he made his debut at the Opera of Nice as Macduff in Macbeth conducted by Maestro Daniele Callegari and at the Arena di Verona in Nabucco, Aida and Turandot, respectively as Ismaele and Radamès conducted by Maestro Daniel Oren and as Calaf conducted by Maestro Francesco Ivan Ciampa. In the autumn 2022 he debuted as Enzo Grimaldo in Ponchielli's La Gioconda at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona. Subsequently he was at the Teatro Bellini in Catania with Verdi's Requiem, and in March 2023 and for several months, he starred as Radamès in Aida at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen conducted by Maestro Paolo Carignani. In October and November 2023 he was again at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona where he made his debut as Amleto in Franco Faccio's opera and Luigi in Il Tabarro conducted by Maestro Gianna Fratta.
Among his latest engagements, Cavaradossi in Tosca in Nantes, Angers, Rennes and Siena, Luigi in Il Tabarro at the Teatro Regio di Torino, Mascagni's Il Piccolo Marat in Nantes and Angers, Don Alvaro in La Forza del Destino at the Zenith Arena in Toulon and Andréa Cheniér in Como, Pavia, Lucca and Rovigo. Recently he was engaged in the cover of Enzo Grimaldo in La Gioconda at the San Carlo in Naples, Don Alvaro in La Forza del Destino at La Scala in Milan and Andrea Chénier at the Carlo Felice in Genoa.
