Rachele Stanisci - Soprano - W Print

Born in Brindisi, Rachele Stanisci started very young studying singing with Gina Salvagno, after that she specialized at the Teatro alla Scala attended the “Scuola di Perfezionamento Artisti lirici del Teatro Alla Scala”. Winner of the “Maria Caniglia” Prize and “As.Li.Co” international contest, she starred in La Bohème (Mimì and Musetta) and Il Turco in Italia (Fiorilla) on tour in Italy.

In the following seasons she was regular guest in theaters such as: Opera Royale de La Monnaie in Brussels;  Théâtre du Capitole in  Toulouse, Dresden Semperoper, Festival in Wiesbaden, Opéra de Montpellier, Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Opera in Frankfurt, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich,Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, Opéra de Monte Carlo, Teatro Regio in Turin.

At the beginning of 2000 season, she added new roles to her repertoire singing in Le Nozze di Figaro (Contessa) at the Fenice in Venice;  Don Giovanni (Donna Elvira) and Oberto, Conte di San Bonifacio (Leonora) at the Bassano Opera Festival (Italy); Falstaff (Alice) in Leipzig and in Santiago de Chile; La Bohème (Mimì and Musetta) in Hannover; Pagliacci (Nedda) in Santiago de Chile; Don Carlo (Elisabetta) at the Sferisterio Opera Festival in Macerata; Norma (title role) at the Liceu in Barcelona and in Modena, Livorno and Piacenza; Così fan tutte (Fiordiligi) in Ancora and Piacenza;  Faust (Marguerite) on tour in Italy; Aida in Lecce in Skopje; Attila in Modena and Piacenza, Pier Luigi Pizzi directing; Nabucco (Abigaille), beside Leo Nucci.

Amongst her past engagements, it is worth mentioning: Luisa Miller (Luisa) in Sassari (dvd edited by Bongiovanni); Suor Angelica, Manon Lescaut and La Bohème in Palermo; Marin Faliero (Elena) in Sassari, at the Festival Donizetti in Bergamo (cd and dvd by Dynamic); Don Carlos (Elisabetta, five acts version) at the Hamburgische Staatsoper; Norma  in Bilbao and in Beijing, Renato Palumbo conducting, Il Trovatore in Las Palmas, Lisbon and Trieste; Don Giovanni (Donna Elvira) at the  Festival in Avenches Giancarlo Del Monaco directing ; Francesca da Rimini at the Opéra Bastille in Paris, Daniel Oren conductong and Giancarlo Del Monaco directing; Les vêpres siciliennes (Hèléne) at the San Carlo in Naples under Gianluigi Gelmetti and at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in London under Antonio Pappano; Turandot in Palermo and at the Arena in Verona; Beatrice di Tenda in Catania, Henning Brockhaus directing; world's première of Marco Betta's Natura Viva (Beatrice) at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino; Iris and  Attila at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona; Manon Lescaut in Athens; Macbeth at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari (Renato Palumbo conducting), Gala Verdi at the Liceu in Barcelona.

Most recently she took part in Un ballo in maschera and Verdi's Requiem in Trieste (under Gianluigi Gelmetti); Anna Bolena in Catania; Nabucco in Lima, in Bari and in Rome (Caracalla); Don Giovanni in Trapani; Un ballo in maschera in Tel Aviv under Zubin Mehta; Aida in Pisa; Verdi’Attila in Montecarlo and Puccini’s Edgar (Tigrane) in Dortmund; Iris (title role) in Tokyo with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra; Manon Lescaut in Livorno, Pisa and Rovigo; Les vepres sicilienne in London, Maurizio Benini conducting; Falstaff (Alice) in Beijing and Monte Carlo ;Un ballo in maschera in Nancy and Luxemburg; Tosca (title role) in Cagliari; Andrea Chénier in Trieste. Plans include: Aida in Naples and Falstaff in Antibes.
