Nicola Pamio made his debut in Cagliari in 1992 as Edmondo in Manon Lescaut. He then appeared on the stages of many of Italy's opera houses, interpreting both well known and rarely performed operas.

Highlights of his successful collaborations include: Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Conte di Almaviva) directed by Carlo Verdone and conducted by Piero Bellugi at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome; Don Pasquale (Ernesto) conducted by Fabrizio Maria Carminati at the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Messina; La Notte di un Nevrastenico under the baton of Paolo Arrivabeni; Madama Butterfly (Goro) at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa; Turandot (Pong) at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago (Italy); Parsifal at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples; Salome at the Teatro Regio in Turin and in Manchester; Il Tabarro and Janacek's From the House of the Dead at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo and Turandot in Bozen and Savona.

He interpreted the role of Don Basilio in several productions of Le Nozze di Figaro in Reggio Emilia under the direction of Daniele Abbado, in Savona directed by Filippo Crivelli, in Trieste under the baton of Rizzi Brignoli and in Menorca.

Since 1999, he enjoys a long-time collaboration with the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where he performed, among others: Mussorgsky's Zhenitba (Marriage), Massenet's Manon (Una guardia) conducted by Gary Bertini and directed by Nicolas Joel; Peter Grimes under the baton of Jeffrey Tate and the direction of John Schlesinger; Corghi's Tatjana directed by Peter Stein and conducted by Will Humburg; Adriana Lecouvreur (Poisson); La Traviata (Giuseppe). Most recently he took part in the Teatro alla Scala’s production of Pagliacci, Madama Butterfly and Rigoletto and then on tour in Japan.

He recently performed: Parsifal and Peter Grimes at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples; Il Tabarro, Die Zauberflöte, Alice in Wonderland and La Fanciulla del West (Harry) at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo; Nabucco in Salerno and Cagliari; Madama Butterfly and Turandot at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago; Madama Butterfly in Wien, Paris, Genoa, Milan and Venice; Le nozze di Figaro (Basilio) in Minorca; Salome at the Teatro Regio in Turin; Falstaff  at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona; Tosca in Trieste; Samson et Dalila in Rome; Il Campiello in Rovigo and Venice and Il Trovatore in Rovigo and Savona.

Among his remarkably production: Rossini’s Otello besides Cecilia Bartoli in Paris, Salzburg, Wien and recently at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Revivals are planned soon in Naples; Puccini’s Trittico (Il Tinca/ Gherardo) at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome.
