Mario Cassi - Taddeo
Mr. Cassi lately sang Figaro in Barbiere di Siviglia at the Rossini Opera Festival under the baton of Alberto Zedda (just issued as a DVD). He made his debut as Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro in Liège, then he performed Dandini in La Cenerentola at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia, Figaro in Mercadante's I Due Figaro in Madrid and Buenos Aires, Riccardo Muti conducting. Mr. Cassi had just sung L’Italiana in Algeri in Liège and Don Pasquale at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome both under Bruno Campanella and Così Fan Tutte at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari Roberto Abbado conducting. Future plans: Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Teatro Real de Madrid at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples; L’Elisir d’Amore (Belcore) in Florence and Vienna (Wiener Staatsoper); Don Pasquale at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona; Così fan Tutte in Cagliari; Pagliacci at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse; La Cenerentola, Die Zauberflöte (Papageno) and Lucia di Lammermoor at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège; Il Viaggio a Reims (Don Alvaro) in Amsterdam.
Mariangela Sicilia - Elvira
Promising Italian soprano, she won the Tito Schipa lyric contest in Lecce, making her debut as Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore. Ms Sicilia performed Musetta in La Bohème in Lucca, Pisa and Ravenna, Arsenia in Jommelli’s Don Trastullo at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples; Cléopatre at the Withsun Festival in Salzburg; Il Viaggio a Reims at the Opera Studio at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro; L'Arlesiana (Vivetta) at the Wexford Festival Opera; Gilda in Rigoletto at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari. On the concert side, Mariangela Sicilia has lately starred in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in Jerusalem and Ravenna, concert that was broadcast by Italian National Television and in a lyric concert in honor of Giuseppe Verdi in Lugo. Future plans include: L'Elisir d'Amore in Monte Carlo and Madrid; L'Arlesiana at the Festival Pergolesi Spontini in Jesi; Il Medico dei Pazzi at the Opéra National de Lorraine in Nancy; La Wally and La Bohème (Musetta) at the Opéra National de Paris. Ms. Sicilia will sing Petite Messe Solennelle in Saint-Etienne under Alberto Zedda.
Raffaella Lupinacci - Zulma
Young and upcoming Italian mezzo, Raffaella Lupinacci has just won the As.Li.Co Competition. Ms. Lupinacci made her operatic debut in 2011 as Tisbe in Rossini’s Cenerentola, and then as Giovanna and Paggio in the production of Verdi’s Rigoletto at Teatro “A. Rendano” in Cosenza. She attended the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro in 2012, making her debut as Marchesa Melibea and Modestina in Rossini’s Il Viaggio a Reims. More recently she took the role of Mary in Der Fliegende Holländer for Opera Domani project in Como and Bologna. Future plans include: Verdi’s Otello and Tancredi again for the Opera Domani Project in Como, Cremona, Pavia and Brescia, in Rossini’s Otello and in a verdian concert in Antwerp and in the Petite Messe Solennelle in Saint- Etienne.
