Mario Cassi - Marcello*
Mario Cassi won the Toti Dal Monte competition in Treviso and the Zarzuela Prize in the Operalia 2003 competition. Following commitments in the major Italian and European theaters, include: La Grotta di Trofonio by Salieri sung and recorded with Christophe Rousset at the Lausanne Opera, Giulio Cesare (Achilla) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Maria Stuarda (Lord Cecil) at the Sferisterio in Macerata, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, The Magic Flute at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège. Of particular interest it is Don Pasquale (Dottor Malatesta) under the baton of Riccardo Muti at the Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna and on tour at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and at the Musikverein in Vienna and the debut at Teatro alla Scala in Milan in I Pagliacci (Silvio). He recently made his debut as Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro in Liège, then he performed Dandini in La Cenerentola at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia, Figaro in I Due Figaro in Madrid and Buenos Aires, Muti conducting.
Future plans include: Rigoletto at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan; L’Italiana in Algeri and La Cenerentola at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège; Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia and at the Teatro Real de Madrid; Maria Stuarda at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale in Florence; L’Elisir d’amore at the Wiener Staatsoper; I Pagliacci in Toulouse; Così fan Tutte in Bari.
Cristiano Cremonini - Parpignol
Debuted at a very young age in Verdi’s Don Carlo at the Teatro Sociale in Mantua. He initially dedicated himself to eighteenth century operas, performing the main roles of: Il Filosofo di Campagna by Galuppi, Il Matrimonio Segreto, Così Fan Tutte, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Don Pasquale. He then performed Rodolfo in La Bohème at Stadtheater in St.Gallen and at the Teatro Comunale in Modena, Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Teatro Regio in Parma and the Zurich Opera House, Edmondo in Manon Lescaut at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago. He also performed at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, at the Teatro della Pergola in Florence, at the Teatro Comunale in Modena, at the Verdi Festival in Parma and at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège.
He will be engaged in Il Trovatore and in Battistelli’s Divorzio all’Italiana at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna.
