Mario Cassi - Dottor Malatesta
Already well-established as one of the most appreciated baritones of his generation,
Mr. Cassi regularly collaborates with conductors such as Roberto Abbado, Paolo Arrivabeni,
Bruno Campanella, Asher Fisch, Stefano Montanari, Riccardo Muti, just to name a
few, in the most prestigious theaters in Italy and abroad. After his success at
the Opéra de Paris singing L’Elisir d’Amore, Mario Cassi has recently sung
Germont in La Traviata and Papageno in Die Zauberflöte both in Liège
under the baton of Paolo Arrivabeni and he made his debut as Silvio in Pagliacci
at Semperoper in Dresden. Recent engagements include also Lucia di Lammermoor
(Lord Enrico Ashton) at Teatro Regio in Parma and on tour in Italy and a lyric concert
at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona.
Particularly interesting it is his collaboration with the Opéra Royal de Wallonie
in Liège where in the past seasons he performed Il Matrimonio Segreto, Maria Stuarda,
La Bohème, Le Nozze di Figaro, L’Italiana in Algeri and where in the coming
months he will star in Don Giovanni (title role) La Favorite (Alphonse
IX) and Le Nozze di Figaro (Figaro).
Other plans include: Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Figaro) at the Opéra
in Monte Carlo and at the Terme di Caracalla in Rome; Lucia di Lammermoor
in Tel Aviv; Così fan tutte (Guglielmo) in Dresden. Mr Cassi will
return to Wiener Staatsoper singing Le Nozze di Figaro (Figaro).

Marco Armiliato - conductor
One of the leading names in the international operatic scene, Marco Armiliato is
regular guest in the most prestigious theaters in the world. His recording of Verismo
arias with Renée Fleming for Decca won a Grammy Award in 2010.
His recent engagements include: Anna Bolena, Ernani, Aida,
Francesca da Rimini, Rigoletto, Tosca, La Sonnambula,
Madama Butterfly, La Bohème, Trovatore (Metropolitan Opera); Tosca,
Rigoletto, La Traviata,Turandot, La Bohème (Bavarian
State Opera); Aida, Tosca and Madama Butterfly (Arena di Verona);
La Traviata, Andrea Chénier and Tosca (Vienna State Opera);
Madama Butterfly (Chicago) and La Fille du Régiment (Paris Opera).
Recently he conducted a new production of La Traviata at Opernhaus in Zurich;
new production of Faust at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin; Elisir d’Amore, La
Traviata, Simon Boccanegra, Don Carlo and La Bohème at the Wiener
Staatsoper; Lucia di Lammermoor at Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.
Plans for 2016/2017 season include: Manon Lescaut (concert version)
at the Salzburg Festival; Otello and La Fanciulla del West in Zurich;
La Traviata, Andrea Chénier and a lyric concert in Munich; Madama Butterfly
at the Teatro Real in Madrid; Rigoletto in Chicago; L’Elisir d’amore,
Turandot, Aida, Il Trovatore (new production), La Fanciulla del West,
Otello, Il Barbiere di Siviglia at Wiener Staatsoper; concert gala with
the Sinfonieorchester Baden-Baden; La Bohème, Manon Lescaut, Aida
and Alfano’s Cyrano de Bergerac at the Metropolitan in New York where he
also will conduct several important productions in next seasons.
