Annunziata Vestri - Suzuki
Winner of “Lauri Volpi”, “Maria Caniglia” and Rosertum Lyric Contests, Mrs Vestri
made her debut in 2003 as Suzuki in Madama Butterfly. An eclectic artist
with bold acting qualities, she can boast a huge repertoire that spans from Bel
Canto to Verdi and Puccini’s masterpieces. Annunziata Vestri regularly collaborates
with theaters such as: Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Teatro Regio in Turin, Maggio
Musicale in Florence, Teatro Comunale in Bologna, San Carlo in Naples, Opéra de
Montecarlo, Teatro Regio in Parma, Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, Sferisterio
Opera Festival in Macerata, Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto. Mrs. Vestri lately
sang: Donizetti's Belisario and Torquato Tasso at the Bergamo
Musica Festival; Cilea's L’Arlesiana at the Wexford Festival
Opera and at the Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi; La Clemenza di Tito in
Trieste; Rigoletto in Naples; Carmen in Livorno, Lucca and
Genoa; Il Trovatore in Schenkenberg; La Traviata in Bari; Madama
Butterfly in Kiel; Andrea Chénier (Madelon) in Naples;
Aida (Amneris) in St. Margarethen and in Kazan. Mrs. Vestri made her
film debut performing as Tisbe in La Cenerentola for the Opera
movie directed by Carlo Verdone, conducted by Gelmetti and produced by Rada Film.
Annunziata Vestri future engagements include: Madama Butterfly (Suzuki)
in Florence; Falstaff (Meg) in Marseille; Guglielmo Ratcliff
at the Wexford Festival Opera; Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Monte Carlo.

Angelo Villari - Pinkerton
Angelo Villari won the first prize at the International Contest “Simone Alaimo,
il Bel Canto” (2010) and he was finalist at the Lyric Contest Puccini Festival
in Torre del Lago and he won the role of Il Duca of Mantua in Rigoletto in
the Contest “Il Bel canto nella Valle dei Templi” in Agrigento (Sicily). Amongst
the roles he sang, it is worth mentioning: Canio in Pagliacci, Turiddu
in Cavalleria Rusticana, Cavaradossi in Tosca and Alfredo
in Traviata. Angelo Villari recently sang: Cavalleria
Rusticana in Lecce, Pagliacci in Malta, Attila
(Foresto) in Rovereto. Among his most important successes in the past season,
it is worth mentioning: Il Trovatore at the Teatro Donizetti in
Bergamo, Madama Butterfly in Lübeck, La Traviata in
Malta, the main role in Ennio Porrino’s I Shardana at the Teatro
Lirico in Cagliari, conducted by Anthony Bramall in a new production by Davide Livermore
(also filmed in DVD by Dynamic). Mr. Villari starred the main tenor role
in Casella’s La donna serpente under Fabio Luisi for the opening of
the Martina Franca Festival. Mr. Villari recently performed Adriana Lecouvreur
in Como, Pavia and Cremona.
Plans include Madama Butterfly at the Teatro Regio in Parma.

Mario Cassi - Sharpless
Already well-established as one of the most appreciated baritones of his generation,
Mr. Cassi regularly collaborates with conductors as Riccardo Muti, Bruno Campanella,
Roberto Abbado, in the most prestigious theaters in Italy and abroad.
Mr. Cassi recently reported a great success as Dottor Malatesta in Don Pasquale for
the season’s opening night at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Antonio Albanese
directing, as Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Naples, Florence
and Tel Aviv, as Belcore in L’Elisir d’amore at the Staatsoper
in Vienna and at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, as Silvio in Pagliacci in
Toulouse, as Danilo in The Merry Widow at the Teatro Regio in Turin.
Mario Cassi starred as Don Alvaro in Il Viaggio a Reims at the Dutch National
Opera & Ballet in Amsterdam, Stefano Montanari conducting and Damiano Michieletto
directing.
