One of the leading names in the international operatic scene, Marco Armiliato is
regular guest in the most prestigious theaters in the world. His recording of
Verismo arias with Renée Fleming for Decca won a Grammy Award in 2010.
His recent engagements include: Anna Bolena, Ernani, Aida, Francesca da Rimini, Rigoletto, Tosca, La Sonnambula, Madama
Butterfly, La Bohème (Metropolitan Opera), Tosca, Rigoletto, La
Traviata,Turandot, La Bohème (Bavarian State Opera), Aida, Tosca and Madama
Butterfly (Arena di Verona), La Traviata, Andrea Chénier and Tosca (Vienna
State Opera), Madama Butterfly (Chicago) and La Fille du Régiment (Paris
Opera).
Recently he conducted new production of La Traviata at Opernhaus-Zurich
and new production of Faust at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin.
Plans include: Anna
Bolena, Trovatore and several important productions in the next
seasons at the Metropolitan in New York; L’Elisir d’Amore, La Bohème, Roméo
et Juliette, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, La Traviata, Simon
Boccanegra, Manon Lescaut, Don Pasquale, Il Trovatore (new
production), La Fanciulla del West, Otello, I Capuleti e i Montecchi (new
production) at the Vienna State Opera; Lucia di Lammermoor at the Liceu
in Barcelona; Manon Lescaut in Amsterdam; Otello and La
Fanciulla del West in Zurich; Werther at the New National Theater in
Tokyo; La Traviata in Munich; Madama Butterfly at the Teatro Real
in Madrid; Rigoletto in Chicago. M° Armiliato will perform in concert in
Luzern and Munich.
