
Lu Yuan - Tenor
Young tenor
Lu Yuan, born in China, was admitted in 2001 to the Conservatory of Music in
Tianjin, in the Music Education Department, where he studied Piano with
Professor Li Hongmei and Voice with Professor Li Xiuqi. Lu Yuan moved to Italy
in 2010 as a senior visiting scholar, and is currently continuing his studies
with Mirella Freni at the “CUBEC - Centro Universale del Bel Canto”.
Mr. Yuan
won several international competitions, such as: “Golden Bell Awards” in China;
“Neue Stimmen” in Germany; “Bellini” and “Magda Olivero” in Italy. Mr. Yuan made
his Italian debut as Cavalier Belfiore and Gelsomino in
Il viaggio a Reims at the Rossini Opera Festival; more recently he
starred in the gala Concert in honor of Luciano Pavarotti in Modena and he sang
Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola in Beijin as well as Petite Messe
Solennelle in Rome. He participated as cover of Juan Diego Florez in Le
comte Ory at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and he recently was Don
Ramiro in La Cenerentola in Irun (Spain).
Mr. Lu Yuan will sing again Don
Ramiro in La Cenerentola in Treviso and Ferrara and Fernando in
Donizetti’s Il Furioso all’Isola di Santo Domingo in Bergamo, Modena,
Savona, Rovigo and Ferrara. In July he
will take part in a gala concert at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
