Klodjan Kacani - Tenor - W Print

Klodian Kacani received his degree from the Academy of the Fine Arts in Tirana, studying with Nina Mula. He attended several masterclasses with Giuseppe Gipali and then specialized with Ermonela Jaho. He has received the Third Prize at the International Contest “Marie Kraja” in Albany. He has interpreted the role of the Third Jew in Strauss’s Salome at the Apollo Theater in Syros (Greece) under the baton of Wiktor Bockman. He then sung in the singspiel by Albert Lortzing Ali Pascha von Janina (role of Robert) under Zhani Ciko at the National Theatre in Tirana in 2013. Since then, he has started a solid collaboration with the National Theatre in Tirana, where he has made his debut of the roles of: Goro in Madama Butterfly; Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi under Sebastiano Rolli; Peppe/ Arlecchino in Pagliacci under Michelangelo Mazza and Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni under Paolo Carbone. In Tirana, he also sang as Tebaldo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi under Elda Laro, in the di Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony under Akoka and as Alfredo in La Traviata.
As the winner of the AsLiCo Contest, he performed as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte on tour in Italy, after that he starred in the same role with Opera Nomade on tour in France, at the National Theatre in Tirana and in Catania under Gianluigi Gelmetti.

Most recentely he has participated in Macbeth (1847) at the Teatro Regio in Parma; Lucia di Lammermoor at the Opera in Tenerife; Adriana Lecouvreur at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Vesperae Solemnes de Confessore at the Teatro Bellini in Catania and L’Elisir d’amore in Tenerife.

Plans include revivals of L’Elisir d’amore in Tbilisi and Bologna.
