Jiayu Jin began her Baroque career in 2022 with a concert alongside Fabio
Biondi and Europa Galante, a debut that immediately attracted the
attention of the international musical scene. Since then, she has
performed on numerous prestigious stages. In 2024, she collaborated with
Il Pomo d’Oro under the baton of Francesco Corti, singing the roles of
Euridice and La Musica in Monteverdi’s Orfeo at the Monteverdi
Festival in Cremona.
She won the First Prize at the “Cavalli–Monteverdi” International
Competition in Cremona (2023) and at the 13th “Provenzale” Competition of
the Pietà de’ Turchini Association in Naples (2024), as well as the Second
Prize at the 15th edition of the “Cesti” International Baroque Opera
Competition of the Innsbruck Festival (2024), where she also received the
Special Prize “Accademia in Concerto”.
In 2025, she appeared on the main stage of the Innsbruck Festival in the
role of Arianna in Vivaldi’s Il Giustino, and gave a solo recital
at Schloss Ambras, in the Spanish Hall, with the renowned Akademie für
Alte Musik Berlin. In the same year, she sang the role of Cantus in
Monteverdi’s Vespro della Beata Vergine at the Opéra de
Monte-Carlo and the Salzburg Festival under the direction of Gianluca
Capuano; performed as Primavera in Alessandro Scarlatti’s oratorio La
gloria di Primavera at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo and the Teatro
dell’Opera di Roma; and appeared in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater with
Il Pomo d’Oro alongside Ann Hallenberg. She also presented her personal
project Lamenti di Donna with the Spanish ensemble La Spagna and
conductor Alejandro Marías, receiving wide acclaim from both audiences and
critics.
In 2023–2024, she was a Young Artist at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National
Opera in Warsaw.
She is soon to embark on a new collaboration with the ensemble La Spagna,
with whom she will undertake a tour in China.
