Giulio
Mastrototaro, born in Riva del Garda (Italy), studied under the guidance of
Vito Brunetti and graduated with honors at the "Claudio Monteverdi"
Music Conservatory in Bolzano in 2002. He won the As.Li.Co. competition for the
role of Belcore in L'Elisir d'Amore and the "Best Performer"
award for Donizetti's Pietro il Grande (recorded be Dynamic) at the
Martina Franca Festival.

(sagrestano) in Cagliari; Il Turco in Italia in Catania and Warsaw; La
Cenerentola (Don Magnifico) in Leipzig; L'Equivoco
stravagante (Gamberotto) at the Rossini in Wildbad; Un Giorno di Regno
at the Teatro Regio in Parma; Don Giovanni (Masetto) and La Cenerentola in Catania; Gianni Schicchi in Osimo; Matilde di Shabran and Romilda e Costanza at the Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad; Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Vigo; he participated at the new production of Puccini's Tosca opening night at La Scala.

(Rossini's La cambiale di matrimonio, La Gazzetta and L'Italiana
in Algeri with Alberto Zedda; and Pacini's Don Giovanni);
and Sony/RCA (Donizetti's Adelia). He also participated in the DVD
production of Rossini's La Cambiale di Matrimonio and Il
Turco in Italia for Bongiovanni.
